Nobody is a stranger to the recent Boston marathon bombings and the chase the Boston police department took part in to capture the second suspect of the bombings. The second suspect was identified as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev by all media channels except for one, which mistakenly identified the suspect as actress Zooey Deschanel.

A FOX News affiliate channel identified the 33-year-old actress as a suspect for the Boston marathon bombings and was able to draw a few laughs from its viewers during a tension-filled time. The caption next to a picture of Tsarnaev read "Marathon bombing, he is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel."

Radio show producer and writer Peter Ogburn was quick to notice the mistake and shared a snap of his TV screen on his Twitter account. Along with the screen shot he wrote, "Oh come on, Fox."

Luckily for the news channel, the "New Girl" actress took the incident lightly and was able to get a laugh out of it. She quickly re-tweeted the picture with the caption "Whoa! Epic closed captioning FAIL!"

The picture was re-tweeted by over eleven thousand users and over six thousand people marked it as their favorite. Many continued the joking mood in her tweet. Ogburn replied saying, "So, you're saying it wasn't you?" While Spencer Howson told her to look on the bright side of being mentioned as a 19-year-old. "Although, being 19 again... you'd probably take that, yeah?" he wrote.

The news channel did not issue a formal apology to Deschanel but they did post on their Facebook page saying, "Yeah... it's been one of those weeks in pretty much every way... Have a wonderful weekend everybody and thanks for sticking with us through the crazy!!" reported The Inquisitr.
