Another "The Wolverine" trailer has dropped on our collective laps via the Internet. While "The Wolverine" is about to release in theaters next month -- and everyone is eagerly awaiting "Man of Steel" -- "The Wolverine" trailer should not be overlooked as it continues the story of James Howlett (or Logan if you prefer). A brand new international trailer has just hit the Internet, and it shows a lot of action and plenty of story points that moviegoers who are on the fence about the film would have to reconsider their stance.
"The Wolverine" trailer shows Logan (played by Hugh Jackman) being approached by an employee of a Japanese businessman he saved during WWII. The man promises Logan "mortality" as he can take away the mutant's healing factor so he can live a normal life and eventually die.
When Logan refuses, the businessman doesn't take rejection well as he hires Viper (played by Svetlana Khodchenkova) to "steal" his healing factor -- and from the looks of the trailer she succeeds. The rest of "The Wolverine" trailer plays out with intense action as a de-powered Wolverine fights off armies of ninjas and assassins.
We even get to see Silver Samurai in "The Wolverine" trailer.
So sit back and enjoy the trailer while you wait for the next superhero movie to come out.
"The Wolverine," directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, is scheduled for release in the U.S. on July 26.
