The 16th episode of "Glee" Season 4 airs Thursday night on Fox. You can watch "Shooting Star" live at 9 p.m. ET, or you can catch it on Hulu.com in eight days.

Before you watch "Glee" Season 4 Episode 16 live or online for free, here is a preview of "Shooting Star."

The last episode of "Glee" Season 4 featured Blaine (Darren Criss) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) taking over New Directions in Will's (Matthew Morrison) absence. The duo assigned the club the task of performing some of their biggest guiltiest pleasures.

However, as TVLine notes, the biggest reveal of the episode came from Blaine himself. He finally admitted that he has a crush on Sam, but the latter admitted that he knew this and actually saw it as a compliment.

The newest couple of "Glee" Season 4 faced some drama as well. As EW.com notes, Jake (Jacob Artist) planned on performing a Chris Brown number for his guilty pleasure song, but his decision was quickly derided by girlfriend Marley (Melissa Benoist) and the other ladies of New Directions. He ultimately went with Bobby Brown instead, a choice that Marley did not approve, either. Still, the couple made up by episode's end.

Rachel (Lea Michele) and Brody (Dean Geyer) were not as fortunate. Per Hollywood Life, the latter dumped Rachel prior to the episode, leaving her confused and wanting reconciliation. However, Santana (Naya Rivera) ultimately revealed the truth about Brody's secret life as a male prostitute. This led to a Brody/Rachel confrontation, where the latter admitted that she was still in love with Finn (Cory Monteith) and might have just used Brody to make her ex jealous. Thus, the two had a peaceful (and musical) breakup.

Despite this drama, the previous episode of "Glee" Season 4 was relatively lighthearted. Thursday night's show, however, is reportedly one of the most serious to date. BuddyTV quotes a Fox release that seems to foreshadow some sort of tragedy.

"[When an] unthinkable event occurs at McKinley High, perspectives are put into order," Fox said.

While the article does not give away exactly what happens, there are several possibilities that come to mind. Since the 16th episode of "Glee" Season 4 is called "Shooting Star," it's possible the show could revolve around a school shooting.

Previous episodes have also set up serious plots that could lead to a harrowing event. As Slezak of TVLine notes, "Feud" revealed that Ryder (Blake Jenner) has an Internet girlfriend, but when he asked to meet her, she mysteriously disappeared. Ryder also sent a sexually explicit photo to the lady in question, and expanding this story further would give Jenner a chance to show off the acting skills that won him "Glee Project."

As the Wall Street Journal notes, Unique (Alex Newell) revealed in that same episode that she has been threatened by some of the popular girls at school. Ryder, Marley, Jake and even Kitty (Becca Tobin) offered to walk Unique home, but it's possible that this storyline could take a more tragic turn as well during Thursday night's episode of "Glee."
