It hasn't even been two years since Nathan Drake last graced a PlayStation console, in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, but new rumors have more than a few Uncharted fans wondering just how long they'll be forced to wait for the Uncharted 4 release date.

Though the franchise remained conspicuously absent from the PlayStation 4 unveiling, despite an appearance by fellow Naughty Dog project , many fans are beginning to wonder if the Uncharted 4 release date could be revealed next week during E3 2013. Outside of the general hope that Nathan Drake's ultra-cinematic adventures will find a home on Sony's next PlayStation, several recent updates to the Naughty Dog Jobs page have fans wondering if Uncharted 4 might already be in-development at the Santa Monica studio.

Most notably, the studio has been looking for a game designer who is capable of creating and producing both single and multiplayer content for an unspecified next-generation third-person action title that's presumably being created at Naughty Dog as we speak. The studio is looking to fill several other positions, including an audio programmer slot that PlayStation Lifestyle suspects could be intended to provided content for The Last Of Us DLC, but the game design position is the only one which seems to have captured the Internet's attention.

Of course, Naughty Dog's career page hasn't been the only indicator that Uncharted 4 could be in development already. Despite the fact that neither Sony or Naughty Dog have ever confirmed the game's existence, a Swedish retailer may have let the cat out of the bag early, with a number of listings that appear to have been published earlier than intended. In addition to previously confirmed next-gen titles like Need for Speed Rivals or Madden NFL 25, online retailer Webhallen temporarily published listings for a variety of alleged Xbox One and PlayStation 4 launch titles, including one which claimed Uncharted 4 would be released sometime during 2015.

The listings have since been pulled, though not before NeoGAF member ekim managed to grab a few screenshots of the supposed Xbox One and PlayStation 4 game lineups. We've reached out to Naughty Dog for comment on Webhallen's Uncharted 4 listing, and will update this post if/when we hear back from the studio.
