Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date was anticipated for sometime in September, with the device expected to be announced during the "Samsung Unpacked: Episode 2" event before IFA Berlin. New Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date rumors now suggest that the upcoming phablet would start shipping as early as September 4 and that the 32GB option would be standard, since the 16GB has been dropped.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date is expected to correspond with the "Samsung Unpacked: Episode 2" event where Samsung will announce the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch. Knowyourmobile reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will start shipping in September, while the Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch will ship in October. According to SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will release between September 2 to September 8 while the Samsung Galaxy Gear is expected between September 30 to October 6. The information comes from an anonymous source that also confirmed that Samsung is "dropping the 16GB storage variant." SamMobile considers it a good thing, "which is great news looking at how the 16GB variant of the S4 leaves little usable space for the end-user (and also because lower than 32GB of built-in storage on flagship devices just doesn't cut it any more)."
International Business Times reports that the 32GB Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would have 25GB available for use when taking into account the pre-loaded bloatware and custom UI. The Samsung Galaxy S4 16GB for example had only 9GB of storage space available after taking into account system applications. A 32GB version as a standard would certainly be a good time and it might put 64GB as the other variant. More memory is always a good thing as a baseline, particularly if it can be expanded even more by using a microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs according to the latest rumors are, a 5.86-inch Super AMOLED 1920x1080 pixel full HD display. Different regions will have different versions with the Asian market likely to get a Exynos 5 Octa 8-core model with no 4G LTE. North American and European markets are likely to receive a variant with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor quad-core with 4G LTE and between 2 to 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have a S-pen stylus, microSD support for up to 64GB of memory and a 13-MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and a 3,100mAh removable battery. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 OS will be Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the TouchWiz UI. It is not currently known if Samsung intends to release a Google Play Edition version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumors also suggest the possibility of some interesting features that we have heard about. "The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is also rumored to come with Samsung's new eye tracking technology, Eye Pause, which will pause a video you are watching when you move your eyes away from the display and Eye Scroll, which will scroll up and down web pages using your eyes." Rumors had come out about Samsung developing eye tracking technology earlier. Some have called the feature "creepy", but we are pretty interested in seeing how well it works. We assume that you will be able to turn it off if you don't want it.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date is still somewhat tentative for specific carriers. As IBT points out, the release date ranges given show when the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 devices will begin shipping to carriers. They may not necessarily be available to consumers right away. In all likelihood it might be another week or two after that. Geek Gadgets reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date for the UK will be September. What we will likely see is South Korea and other international markets get the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 first, followed by the U.S.. This is according to precedent with the Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy Note 2. R
Right now there appears to be confirmation that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be released on the AT&T network. IBT points out that does not nessecarily imply any exclusivity as we are seeing with the HTC One Mini, "Samsung primarily releases its devices on the four major U.S. networks -- AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile. The manufacturer also releases -- flagship devices especially -- on other smaller, regional networks once the devices are established on the market. Currently, there is no indication this release will be any different."
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is shaping up to be a powerful device and will compete with the HTC Max, Sony Xperia Z Ultra and LG Vu 3 in a fairly crowded Android phablet market. We will likely learn more about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 during the "Samsung Unpacked: Episode 2" event where the release date will be announced. We will keep you posted on more information.
