Update: AT&T and T-Mobile have confirmed contract prices for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3
AT&T and T-Mobile have just rolled out their pricing and launch dates. AT&T has announced that it will open up pre-orders for the Note 3 at $299 with a two-year contract - or $35 per month on AT&T Next - in either black or white starting today. The phone will finally ship starting October 1st.
T-Mobile has yet to open up pre-orders - just a pre-registration page - but is offering the Note 3 for $199 down and $21 per month (for 24 months) on a Simple Choice plan. Oddly, the phone goes on sale one day later than AT&T on October 2nd. If you do the math, that pegs the Note 3 at about $705 full-price with T-Mobile, and AT&T has its off-contract price set at $725.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price for the no-contract phablet could be at least $800 according to leaks and announcements by foreign service providers. Foreign service providers in the UK, India and Europe have begun to announce the expected contract and no-contract prices of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Taking into account the varying rates of foreign currency conversion, a no-contract Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will cost between $750 to $800. In an official press release Samsung said:
The Samsung Galaxy Gear, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 - 2014 Edition will all be available in the U.S. later this year. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will also be available in the U.S. on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular. More information on availability will be shared soon.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price in the UK will be fairly expensive, the UK carriers include EE, Orange and T-Mobile. EE Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price will be 149.99 pounds on the 4G LTE network with a 41 pound 24 month plan that includes 2GB mobile data. Orange Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price will be 119.99 pounds on a 41 pound 24 month plan. Finally T-Mobile UK Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price will be 139.99 pounds on a 42 pound a month contract. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is available for pre-order in the UK on Phones4U. Doing a straight conversion to US dollars shows that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 contract price is likely to be $185 to $233 with a two year contract.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price without a contract will be even more expensive. There is concern in the Indian market that given the hardware of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 the price will make it one of the most expensive phones on the market. Sources speculate that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price could be 50,000 rupees or more. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra 6.4-inch phablet is 54,990 rupees, the most expensive device on the Indian market. When we do a currency conversion to US dollars that places the no-contract Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at $750 to $800.
The Note 3 isn't the only new Samsung device coming to T-Mobile soon. We're also expecting to launch Galaxy Gear (sold separately) - Samsung's companion smart watch that gives Note 3 customers the freedom to untether themselves from their smartphone and do things that they never thought possible on a wearable mobile device.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price for US consumers of Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint are unclear. All the companies have pre-registration pages up to send consumers alerts for availability. US Cellular is also rumored to be getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Currently there is no price information available on the pre-registration page but with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date set for September 25 in a 149 country global worldwide launch, we imagine that price information will come out very soon.
