Ahead of the "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" premiere December 18, there has been a serious marketing effort promoting the legendary anchorman himself - Ron Burgundy. Yes, Will Ferrell is the actor behind the fictional newscaster, but it's his onscreen character that is making headlines (and his little dog, too). The mustached man is making more public appearances than Miley's tongue at the VMAs. This is a roundup of Ron Burgundy's classy endeavors leading up to the "Anchorman 2" debut.

Ron Burgundy Gets His Own Scotchy Scotch Scotch

It's dubbed "Ron Burgundy Blended Scotch Whisky" and it's obviously made in the anchorman's honor. Riviera Imports launched the liquor in association with Paramount Pictures. Riviera Imports says that the Ron Burgundy Scotch is for "Anchorman" fans, "budding Scotch connoisseurs and traditional Scotch enthusiasts alike." Each 750 ml bottle is priced at $25 and ships with a stand-up display of Ron Burgundy. Great Odin's raven.

Ron Burgundy to Host SportsCenter

SportsCenter announced Tuesday that Ron Burgundy will guest host the 6 pm segment this Thursday. He will be joined by Champ Kind (David Koechner), another Channel 4 star. You can watch the anchorman interview Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, where Burgundy calls him a "succulent baby lamb." It's sure to be nothing short of classy.

Ron Burgundy Lands the Cover of a Magazine

Ron Burgundy takes a stab at magazine editing by starring in his first FHM cover shoot. It's the anchorman's only UK cover and the issue promises exclusive scoop on "Anchorman 2". Ron isn't the only newscaster featured, either. FHM says that the rest of the Channel 4 News Team also spilled details on the upcoming film. The issue hits shelves December 5. I mean, does it get much better than Ron Burgundy and Baxter sharing an ice cream cone on the cover of a magazine?

The list goes on. Ron Burgundy co-anchors a North Dakota newscast. Ron Burgundy co-hosts Canadian Olympic curling trials. Ron Burgundy gets a school named after him (for a day). Ron Burgundy pens a memoir. What's next? In the meantime, watch the "Anchorman 2" trailer below.
