Rick Ross can thank his "10 Jesus Pieces" for this one. The rapper was travelling east bound in a Rolls-Royce Ghost along Fort Lauderdale's Los Olas Boulevard at 5 a.m. Monday morning when he became a target of a drive-by shooting. Thankfully, no one at the scene was injured.

According to a witness, the Rolls-Royce swerved around a corner in an attempt to evade the assault when the rapper lost control of the vehicle and collided into the wall of an apartment complex.

Fort Lauderdale Police say that an unidentified gunman inside an unidentified car fired a number of shots along the Las Olas Boulevard.

"An unknown vehicle shot a couple of rounds," said Detective DeAnna Garcia. "The vehicle was not struck."

The second vehicle that Garcia is talking about is Ricky Rozay's Rolls.

According to WSVN reports, dozens of shell casings were found at the scene. Witnesses at the scene claim to have heard approximately 15 shots. Thankfully, Rick Ross, and rumored girlfriend fashion designer Shateria Moragne-el, who was with him in the car, escaped injury. However, while the incident did not directly cause any physical injuries, one stray bullet did manage to enter a Floridian diner via a front window. The diner is a 24-hour landmark along the Las Olas strip.

The 37-year-old rapper and Miami native Rick Ross celebrated his Jan. 28 birthday at a nearby Floridian restaurant after an evening at the club LIV in Miami Beach.

Florida Police urges any informant with information regarding the shooting to promptly contact the Police Department's Violent Crimes hotline at (954) 828-5546.

Last month, Rick Ross announced the cancellation of his MMG Music Tour. While the cause of the cancellation remains murky, rumors hint that the cancellation was as a result of death threats on the rapper's life from Gangster Disciples in North Carolina and a number of other states.
