Today's Pokémon X And Y news will benefit more than just gen 6 fans. Nintendo has a few Pokémon gifts for those fond of the fourth generation legendaries. While they aren't offering up any of the Pokémon X And Y new 'mons as shinies, the option of a free rare Dialga, Palkia and Giratina is nothing to scoff at. Let's just hope we don't have to sit in the Gamestop trying to catch the legendaries the old fashioned way. The Pokémon X And Y new game shall certainly be one to remember.
The official site explains when gamers will be able to obtain their shinies:
"The three Pokémon will be available one at a time, and for a limited time each. You can get Shiny Dialga until September 8th, followed by Shiny Palkia from September 9th through September 29th, and then Shiny Giratina from September 30th through October 20th.
Remember that when you visit GameStop stores beginning on August 19th, you'll be able to preorder your copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y while you're there!"
Semi-related: Fans who pre-order get a bonus Pokeball when they receive their game.
The Pokémon X and Y new game is shaping up to be a significant update to the series. While Pokémon generally lags behind a bit compared to other RPGs, at this point the series is in a class all its own. Game Freak has created an all new set of pokes for this edition, established Fairy as a new type and has even added mega evolutions to the mix. The Pokémon company is certainly ramping up interest in the series for this latest update, however, with the soon to be released anime based on Red from the original games.
