We've seen a lot of Pokémon X and Y news come across our desks lately but rumor confirmations are among the best. In a new video from Youtube user Paul Lane shows us valid evidence of Mega Latios and Latias. We've known about the hidden mega evolutions for a bit but never have we seen them on camera. The Pokémon X Y legendaries have yet to be officially announced by Nintendo (these ones, anyway) but now that they've shown up on video, we're sure it is just a matter of time.

Unfortunately the rumors of Mega Latias with Multiscale in Pokémon X and Y was untrue, but certainly would have made things interesting. Though now that we know the base stats of Mega Latios and Latias, we can get an idea of what kind of power increases each receive. Mega Latios sees its stats change to 80/130/100/160/120/110 and Mega Latias to 80/100/120/140/150/110 (thanks for doing the math RBGolbat). The changes rumored about before would've been cool, but an overpowered Mega Latias in Pokémon X and Y may just be a bit too much to handle.
Pokémon X And Y Mega Evolution Latios
The character designs for Mega Latios and Latias are not too drastic from the original looks. The new Pokémon X and Y mega evolutions gain a couple of engine-looking limbs on each wing. Aside from this, the two look largely the same, bearing the same colors and patterns as before. The Latios in the video looks a tad different but such is to be expected when looking at a shiny.
But don't be fooled Pokémon X and Y enthusiast -- Mega Latios and Latias aren't the only hidden legendaries in the game. Along with the news of these two Hoenn megas, one game hacker was also able to uncover the Pokémon X Y trio of Diancie, Hoopa and Volcanion. One of the legendary Pokémon, Diancie, was recently announced by Nintendo. With the Rock and Fairy type getting its own movie special, the Pokémon Company is pulling out the stops to present this one. It remains to be seen when or how Hoopa and Volcanion will be announced. Though we're hoping soon -- we need to get our hands on that Fire / Water type poke asap.
The question remains, how will Nintendo distribute these Pokémon X and Y legendaries? We imagine the two will be let loose following some type of gen 3 remake announcement. Following games like Fire Red and Heart Gold, a new version of Ruby and Sapphire almost seems imminent. Combined with the new 3D look of the latest handheld games, we're kind of looking forward to the Hoenn remakes more than Mega Latios and Latias themselves. No offense, guys.
