Pokémon news time, folks. Let's start with Pokémon X & Y news. There is no Mewthree. It's a new Forme. We have the footage to prove it. And another round of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity DLC has been released, featuring themed dungeons and an epic final challenge. Plus, new Pokémon Scramble U news, NFC figures, and more.

First up: Pokémon X & Y news. As you know, a "new Pokémon" was revealed a while back. As several commenters informed me at the time, the Pokémon Company has in the past announced "new Pokémon" that weren't actually new Pokémon, but new Formes. This happened with Keldeo, and it happened again with Mewtwo. On April 13, Serebii reported that the latest issue of "CoroCoro" confirms that the new Pokémon is actually just a new Forme of Mewtwo after it has "awakened." The new Forme will appear in ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens, the upcoming sixteenth Pokémon movie.

Further confirming the Pokémon X & Y news, Pokémon.com posted a video of Mewtwo in its traditional form transforming into the new version. Unless Mewtwo straight-up evolves -- a really farfetched idea -- this is definitely a new Mewtwo Forme, not a new Pokémon proper. That doesn't make it any less cool, though.

In other Pokémon news, the final round of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity DLC is out and available now. Four new dungeons are available for separate purchase: Axe Rock is filled with Axew and Mount Tepid with Tepig. Treat Road offers players a chance for tons of extra experience points. Strongest Trail is a much harder dungeon than any of the others in the game; perfect for advanced players. The dungeons range between $2.00 and $3.00 each.

Pokémon Rumble U, aka Pokémon Scramble U, hasn't yet been announced for US release, but the Wii U downloadable title keeps looking cooler, so hopefully we'll be able to share US Pokémon news about it sooner rather than later. The title, which makes use of Near-Field Communication (NFC) in a way similar to the Skylanders series, just received another set of figurines in Japan. The new set includes Eevee, Mewtwo, Croagunk, Zoroark, Litwick and Genesect. On April 18, Serebii announced that a special Lucario figure will also be released as a promotional item.

Now a few miscellaneous Pokémon news items: the Pokédex 3D Pro sale ends April 19 (i.e., the day this article was posted), so if you want the application for $10 instead of $15, today is your last chance. Pick it up in the 3DS eShop. Players with Pokémon Black 2 or Pokémon White 2 can download a new rival skin for the Pokédex from Pokémon Global Link.

That's all for Pokémon news this week, since the 3DS Nintendo Direct presentation didn't have anything fresh for us. But with any luck, more Pokémon X & Y news will start rolling out soon!
