Plants vs. Zombies 2 on Google Play was surprisingly left out of yesterday's release date game launch -- being only released on iPhone and iPad. Plants vs. Zombies 2, which is currently only on iOS, wouldn't be the first game which was released on Apple's platform first, but Android users still want the game. While PopCap hasn't said anything official regarding the launch date for Plants vs. Zombies 2 Google Play, we can certainly deduce when the app should hit Android devices.

One way to determine the Plants vs. Zombies 2 launch date on Google Play is to look to the past. When Plants was released for iOS in February of 2010, the game didn't reach Android until the end of May, but in 2011. We're not sure how it took the game studio 15 months to port the game to the smartphone OS but we imagine the company will do so sooner this time around. Now that EA's acquired PopCap and they have to know fans are eager to get their hands on the game. With Plants Vs. Zombies 2 now free to play, the company would be wise to get the games in as many hands as possible.

Google Play users may have to wait about a year for Plants Vs. Zombies 2, give or take a few months, but iOS can have the game for free now.
