The Nexus 11 tablet release date, specs, features and other rumors for the next-gen Samsung Google Nexus tablet began to receive some concrete information. The Nexus 11 release date is thought to be in 2013 likely Q3 or Q4, the device will debut with a total of 4 Samsung tablets.
The Nexus 11, like the Nexus 5 smartphone produced by LG and the Nexus 7 2 next-gen tablet produced by Asus the Nexus 11 will be produced by the manufacturer of the Nexus 10, Samsung.
The News Tribe reports about the Nexus 11 release date, specs and features, "Nexus 11 might be coming with 11-inch crystal clear video and Super PLUS display panel with the resolution of 2560 x 1600." In terms of processor specs we could expect the Nexus 11 to have a 1.8 GHz quad-core Tegra 4 and 72-core NVIDIA GeForce.
CNET reports about Nexus 11 specs along similar lines:
"The so-called Nexus 11 will reportedly feature an 11-inch Super PLS TFT display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and microSD expansion. This high-end unit will be the first tablet to feature Samsung's octa-core processor, alleges the blog. It is unclear at this point which version of Android will run the operation."
The OS is expected to be Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but that could change depending on the Nexus 11 release date. Android 4.3 Jelly bean is expected to come out in July while Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie id expected in October. Given that the release will be in Q3 of 2013, we believe that it is quite likely that the Nexus 11 will, along with the Nexus 5 and Nexus 8 be among the first devices to run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie depending on the Nexus 11 release date of course.
Currently the Nexus 11 price is still unknown, but Nexus devices are known for being reasonably priced compared to competitors so it shouldn't break the bank too much. In other Nexus 11 release date news we have corroboration from unconfirmed reports that Samsung is indeed working on the Nexus 11:
"According to "unconfirmed reports," Samsung the maker of the Nexus 10, is working on a Nexus 11 with a Super PLS TFT touchscreen, 8MP camera, front camera, microSD and powered by a Samsung octa-core processor. Since it may not be due out until the fall it may be launched with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
Other Samsung tablets in the Samsung design pipeline are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11, dual-SIM 7-inch Galaxy Tab Duos and Galaxy Tab 8."
The Nexus 11 specs will certainly be an upgrade of the Nexus 10. This should soothe the worries of users who were concerned over the uncertainty about the Nexus 5 where LG first said that it was not interested in making the device, then recanted and appeared to indicate it was working on the Nexus 5. It now appears that the Nexus 5 will be based off the LG Optimus G2.
The Nexus 11 release date and specs will likely also appear similar to another upcoming Samsung tablet. We will keep you posted as we learn more about the Nexus 11 release date, specs and price.
