The Nexus 10 2 release date and price leak has confirmed the next-gen refresh of the Google slate will be coming in October or November at the price of 349.99 pounds. Much attention has focused on Android 4.4 KitKat and the Nexus 5 launch on October 14, but the new Nexus 10 2 refresh is also likely to be announced on the same day with the official release date toward the end of October. The Nexus 10 2 release date and price leak picture comes from the UK retailer "PC World". This is not necessarily the most reliable start but the information confirms many earlier rumors. The Nexus 7 (2013) was released and received update specs with a better screen and changed dimensions. The Nexus 10 2 refresh is likely to undergo similar changes, as has been confirmed by Sundar Pichai himself. The new Nexus 10 2 refresh will be an Asus tablet, not a Samsung as its predecessor. Google has recently favored Asus and LG as their two primary Nexus device producers, shooting down rumors about a Motorola Nexus device.
The Nexus 10 2 release date and price sound accurate, the current version of the Nexus 10 costs $399 for a 16GB version and $499 for a 32GB version. Taking that into account when we convert 349.99 pounds to USD we get $561.45, likely the price for the 32GB Nexus 10 2 refresh. That's a solid $50-60 jump in price, somewhat more than the $30 jump the Nexus 7 (2013) got. This is likely to account for the more hefty specs improvements that will be made into the 10-inch tablet.
The Nexus 10 2 release date and price don't sound as high when taking into account that the upgrade of the Nexus 10 2 will likely include a Snapdragon 800 possibly a quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. In addition, the display is likely to have a dimension change to be slimmer and lighter while the HD 1080p display will be improved, though by how much is hard to say given it already boasts a 2560x1600 1080p HD display. Since Asus is in charge of the device we likely won't see an internal memory expansion or options for microSD card slots, the Nexus devices basically don't have those. The battery is already 9,000mAh so it likely won't get a real improvement. The Nexus 10 2 refresh will be one of the first Android devices to get the Android 4.4 KitKat update.
The Nexus 10 2 refresh release date and price is not as anticipated as the Nexus 5 or how much the Nexus 7 (2013) was. The Nexus 10 2 refresh is a more popular keep at home tablet for families with children because the large screen isn't as easy to carry around to or travel with. We will keep you posted as we learn more about the Nexus 10 2 refresh release date and price in the coming weeks.
