"Web Therapy" starring Lisa Kudrow returns for a third season on July 23 on Showtime. The comedy centers on the riotously unprincipled life of shrink Fiona Wallice (Kudrow), and will feature an extensive list of guest stars, including Steve Carell, Meg Ryan, Lily Tomlin and former “Friends” co-star Matt LeBlanc.
Lisa Kudrow returns as Dr. Fiona Wallice in the webisode turned cable comedy. The “Web Therapy” preview features a seemingly endless list of A-list special guests, including Chelsea Handler, Billy Crystal, Megan Mullally and Darren Criss, to name a few. The full list of guest stars is available on the Showtime series website.
Showtime describes the “Web Therapy” series synopsis as the following: “Fiona Wallice is a therapist with little patience for her patients. Tired of hearing about people's problems for fifty long minutes, she devises a new treatment, the three-minute video chat. And still, the sessions end up being largely about her. If she's your therapist, you've got problems.”
TV Guide reports that the latest “Web Therapy” season features Fiona (Kudrow) dealing with a gay husband (Victor Garber), a drifting boyfriend (Alan Cumming) and a callous mom (Lily Tomlin) who runs Net Therapy, a business competing with her daughter's Web Therapy. Lisa Kudrow details season 3 of the improv Showtime series.
"Everything's falling apart so horribly that Fiona decides to give herself a little gift — a night of lust with a salesman who's played by Steve Carell," Kudrow tells TV Guide Magazine. "It's exactly the distraction she needs...until he won't go away. She's also being investigated for campaign-finance improprieties. She barely has time this season for her bulls--t therapy sessions!"
“Web Therapy” season 3 premieres Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET. Watch the “Web Therapy” preview:
