Lindsay Lohan is looking to sue Rockstar Games for using her likeness without permission for "Grand Theft Auto V", TMZ reported. The troubled star is reportedly looking for a big payout from the GTA V makers for hijacking her image. For starters, the image of the bikini blonde taking a cellphone selfie on the video game cover does bear a resemblance to Lohan. The GTA V blonde girl is posing with the "Mean Girls" star's signature peace sign and even wearing a stack of thin bracelets like Lilo.
GTA V is set in a fictional version of Los Angeles, which is Lohan's stomping grounds. The game features a mission where a Lindsay Lohan look-alike asks the player to help her escape the paparazzi, per TMZ. Another mission requires the player to capture another Lindsay-like character having sex at a hotel resembling the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood, which is practically synonymous with Lohan.
However, despite these similarities, it appears that Lohan's likeness wasn't stolen by GTA V. "The paparazzi mission obviously do satirize people like Lohan, and the game's writers may have even had Lohan in mind when they wrote those scenes," Forbes' Erik Kain wrote. "It's more likely that they are amalgams of various generic celebrities, though, rather than Lohan specifically. Certainly I think it would be very difficult to prove."
Furthermore, the GTA V bikini girl has already been revealed to be model Shelby Welinder, who tweeted NowGamer with a photo of her invoice from Rockstar in November of last year. The blonde girl was previously thought to be modelled after everyone from Kate Upton, YouTube star Justine Ezarik (a.k.a. iJustine), actress Yvonne Strahovski, and Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel, per the Daily Dot.
