We're finally getting closer to learning the "Legend Of Korra" season 2 release date. Everyone's favorite water-bending Avatar wowed many of us, proving that a follow-up to "Last Airbender" could indeed be just as good, if not better, than the original series. According to Canadian TV network YTV, via Hypable, the "Legend Of Korra" season 2 release date should land sometime during fall 2013. The press release makes it clear these won't just be re-runs of episodes we've seen (multiple times, if you're anything like me). With the "Legend Of Korra" season 2 release date occurring in the fall in Canada, one can likely assume it should hit the United States around the same time.
In describing their fall-lineup, YTV provided a listing of shows to be part of their programming:
"The network will also roll out new episodes of returning hit series Big Time Rush, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, BEYBLADE, SpongeBob SquarePants, Monsters vs. Aliens, Kung Fu Panda, Legend of Korra, T.U.F.F. Puppy and The Fairly OddParents."
While it's likely the "Legend Of Korra" season 2 release date will be different for all countries, there's a strong possibility the US could receive the series this autumn, if not sooner.
With -- spoiler, I repeat, spoiler -- the threat of Amon gone (temporarily?), our Avatar has moved on to dealing with more supernatural threats. According to a sneak peak at book 2, it seems spirits will be Avatar Korra's greatest enemy this go round. In the clip, we see our Avatar and her former teammate/possibly current boyfriend Mako, tossing the elements at the baddies in an arctic environment. While the show's creators make no mention of where exactly the two are, maybe they're at Amon and Tarrlok's old stomping grounds, where the brothers grew up. We can only speculate until the "Legend Of Korra" season 2 release date.
In addition to a preview clip of the upcoming book 2, we've also seen the release of a "Legend Of Korra" soundtrack leak. The song "Republic City Under Attack" was found prior to the official release of the album of original music from book one. We can't be sure whether the soundtrack will come out prior to the "Legend Of Korra" season 2 release date, though the two may be made available around the same time.
Regardless of when the second of book of benders decides to come out, it's clear that there will be a large fan-base ready to consume as much Korra as possible. While last summer's finale, in our opinion, was satisfying, craving more is only natural and we literally won't do anything else until the "Legend Of Korra" season 2 release date is upon us! Actually, we take it back, that's kind of aggressive.
