[UPDATE 10/15 9:30am EST] DIsney and Square Enix have finally released the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer which was shown during the annual D23 Expo on Monday. While only 80 seconds long, we suspect there will be more than a few Kingdom Hearts diehards who are over-joyed to see gameplay footage from Kingdom Hearts 3 already. Head to the bottom of the page to check out the new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer for yourself!

We still know painfully little about Kingdom Hearts 3, the long-awaited conclusion to Kingdom Hearts' Dark Seeker Saga, but a new teaser for the game may have confirmed a handful of new characters and abilities ahead of the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date.

According to a new report on At7addak, a user-generated gaming news site which caters to Arab gamers, two major additions to the Kingdom Hearts 3 lore were teased during Square Enix's D23 presentation on Monday morning -- new "Toy Story" content and an apparent ability to dual-wield Keyblade variants that have more than passing resemblances to guns.

While some may have assumed that Square Enix simply intended to show off the same Kingdom Hearts 3 teaser that appeared during E3, back in June, the buzz surrounding the company's D23 presentation virtually guarantees that new footage of the game was shown during the annual event. Still, many likely expected any new Kingdom Hearts 3 information to come forward in a slightly more-official fashion than Twitter.

Previously, Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura has suggested Kingdom Hearts 3 might not introduce as many new worlds as previous entries in the series, given the dev team's goal of closing any/all storylines introduced during the Dark Seeker Saga. That said, even Nomura seems confident that new corners of the Disney universe could be explored in Kingdom Hearts 3, and the latest teaser for the game may have confirmed such an addition in "Toy Story."

Now, obviously any word-of-mouth report should be taken with a grain or two of salt but, that said, additional tweets from D23 have many Kingdom Hearts fans wondering if Woody and Buzz -- or at the very least, a few of their tiny green pals -- will be making their franchise debut in Kingdom Hearts 3. One D23 Expo attendee claims to have spotted "リトルグリーンメン" (translated: "little green men")on-screen, during the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer, which is apparently the name by which the iconic plastic soldiers from all three "Toy Story" films are known in Japan..

Unfortunately, there weren't any surprise appearrances from any "Toy Story" characters, that we're aware of; however, the soldier tease certainly feels noteworthy, given the amount of time and effort that goes into the creation of trailers for properties as big as Kingdom Hearts 3. At the very least, it'll be interesting to see if the Army Men mention remains in the Kingdom Hearts 3 teaser if/when the latest Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer is released to the public.

Some have also suggested that the famed Electric Parade could be making an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3, after a very similar looking train was summoned during what could only be a boss fight against the Rock Titan. Unfortunately, most of the action from the Kingdom Hearts 3 teaser took place in Traverse Town, leaving many of the game's worlds a mystery for the time being.
