Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been in the news regularly ever since they announced their pregnancy last year. The media has been following Kardashian's every step and taking note of her choice of maternity wear.
There has been and continues to be a lot of speculation about what they will name their baby girl, who is expected to arrive into the world sometime in July. According to various media reports, the couple, or rather West has decided on a name.
And like many other celebrity baby names, this is also a bizarre one. Reportedly, West has decided to name his unborn daughter North, and she will take up her father's last name making her whole name North West.
The Sun Newspaper reported on Tuesday that Kardashian had nothing to do with the odd baby name choice that would break her family tradition of names starting with 'K.'
Allegedly, West came up with the name while he was in Paris for the fashion week and even told his close pals about it. A source told the newspaper that the singer's "ego is something else, so he's quite serious about the title."
"He also has a sense of humor though and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. It's half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true," the source added.
The news comes shortly after it was reported that the expecting couple will go the Beyonce and Jay-Z way and book an entire floor in a Los Angeles hospital for the delivery of their first child. Kpopstarz.com quoted an anonymous source telling a newspaper that the reality starlet is preparing seriously for the birth. "She wants everything to be perfect and, luckily for her, money is no object," the source said.
Kardashian and West are going the extra mile and even making minor renovations to the floor they will be renting. The insider further said that the mom-to-be's "room will be totally sound-proofed before the delivery. She wants all outside influences and noise of traffic muted. Kim's read that mood lighting and atmosphere are important, so she plans to reflect the sounds of nature with a trickling water and soothing wind CD."
