Fans of one of Rockstar Games' most influential games of all time, Grand Theft Auto III, will be both excited and disappointed at the same time after hearing the game will be made available on the PlayStation Network after tomorrow's PSN Store update.

If you've played the iOS or Android versions of Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary, you will know exactly what's possible if the PSN version of the game was published in all of its HD glory. Instead, tomorrow's Grand Theft Auto III release will be another PS2 classic game that contains no HD love or PSN Trophy support.

Grand Theft Auto III fans will be more than appreciative to play their favorite open-world trouble-making game, but seeing as how Rockstar Games already put the work into an HD version of the game with achievements on iOS and Android, we feel this is a missed opportunity to offer console-playing Grand Theft Auto fans the GTA experience they've earned. At least today's news means we can play Grand Theft Auto III on-the-go on our PSP or PS Vita.

Seeing as how Grand Theft Auto III will be made available for the not-so-low price of $10, we can't help but only recommend the iOS and Android versions of Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary as they're cheaper and offer better overall experience than is expected with the PSN version of GTA III. We just hope you know your way around a touch-screen as the iOS and Android versions can be a tad tricky for those who haven't mastered its controls.
