The Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the most highly anticipated Android smartphones, especially when considered the wide-scale success of the Samsung Galaxy S3. Because of so many satisfied Galaxy S3 customers, the expectations for the Galaxy S4 continue to grow tremendously over time.
Although the Galaxy S4 specs are far from official, many technologists have already begun speculating about what will be included in the next iteration of Samsung's flagship smartphone. Among the many rumors, one that's already picked up quite a bit of steam is the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will include an S Pen, much like the new Galaxy Note 2.
"The Samsung Galaxy S IV might be the first handset in the series to launch with an S Pen and the accompanying functionality as Samsung is allegedly looking to unite its Note series with the flagship Galaxy S IV," reports Phone Arena, citing a Korean blog called Enuri. In addition to the S Pen rumor, sources claim that the Samsung Galaxy S4 release date will occur in April 2013.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 will reportedly, and likely, beef up the specifications, especially given the powerful nature of Samsung's latest releases such as the Galaxy Note 2. The Galaxy S4 will reportedly include a 5-inch AMOLED HD display that will display images at a full 1080p resolution. What's more surprising is that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to pack in 441 pixels-per-inch, a significantly higher ratio than the number of pixels included on the Galaxy Note 2 or the Galaxy S3.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 release date would occur one month earlier than the Galaxy S3 and S2 had if it's released in April. Nonetheless, the release date rumors aren't too hard to believe given that the Galaxy S3 has already been out for nearly a year. In addition, smartphone technology has significantly matured, and a new release would give Samsung a great opportunity to generate more demand than its main competitor Apple.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 was purportedly leaked in a video in a video from Rozetked, although the leaked footage appears to be a little too good to be true. The video claims that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will include a 1080p AMOLED display, 2.0GHz quad-core processor, 13MP camera, physical home button, and that the smartphone will run on Android 5.0. Although the video does show some footage of the smartphone powered on, it doesn't give much insight into what features Android 5.0.
Luckily for all of us, the new year is just around the corner, and we have a good feeling more concrete information will be leaked soon. We'll keep you posted as more information about the Samsung Galaxy S4 becomes available.
