Full Screen Mario, is an open source and free project, created by Josh Goldberg, Mashable reported. While the website allows for customization, it also features the same music and animation as the classic '80s game. The Level Editor function is especially neat, as it gets you to think about the different elements of the game.
Super Mario Bros., first released in 1985, remains one of the most pioneering and influential titles ever. It topped IGN's Top 100 Games in 2005 and was the top selling game of all time for more than two decades before being overtaken by Wii Sports in 2009. Mario has appeared in over 200 games, which have sold a combined 240 million copies, of which Super Mario Bros. makes up more than 40 million copies alone.
