On April 8, Apple released its latest iOS 8.3 software to fix numerous issues in the mobile software while also adding an updated emoji keyboard. But as more users adopted the updated some old issues began reappearing and a new one surfaced as well. How To Remove iOS 8.3 Update and Restore iOS 8.2 on Your iPhone, iPad or iPod

 

Step 1: Download iOS 8.2 ISPW

The first step to getting rid of iOS 8.3 and downgrading to iOS 8.2 is to download the proper ISPW. You can find the appropriate firmware links here. Simply  click here to select your device and find the iOS 8.2 ISPW you need. Once you locate the proper ISPW, download it and save it to your computer desktop.

Step 2:  Disable “Find My iPhone”

Once you’ve downloaded the proper ISPW, you need to disable the "Find My iPhone" function. This can be done by going to Settings->iCloud->Find My iPhone. Since you are having problems with cellular service, you’ll want to make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi when you try to disable “Find my iPhone.”

Step 3: Connect iPhone and Start iTunes

Once you've downloaded the appropriate firmware and turned off “Find my iPhone,” the next step is to plug your iPhone into your computer and launch the iTunes program. Once you are in iTunes, you should see information pop up for your device. You will see the option to "Check for an update" or "Restore iPhone."

Mac Users:

·       While in iTunes, hold down the alt/option key and click on "Check for an Update"

Windows Users:

·       While in iTunes, hold down the SHIFT key and click on "Check for an Update"

Once the software begins updating/downgrading DO NOT UNPLUG OR TURN OFF YOUR DEVICE. Your device will turn off and on again at one point and you will need to unlock your device with your passcode if you have one turned on. The device may show one last loading screen to finish the update and then you should be back to iOS 8.2
