Christina Aguilera could be the new face of plus-size dating.

In an extremely bold move, plus-size model Whitney Thompson has asked the former judge on "The Voice" - who reportedly gained 65 pounds - to become the spokesperson for the plus-size dating site TheBigandBeautiful.com.

Thompson, who was a contestant on "America's Next Top Model," now runs TheBigandTheBeautiful.com, a site "specifically designed for women with curves." In order to ink a deal, Aguilera would have to agree to at least one TV commercial, one radio commercial, two photo shoots, and four public appearances.

The 31-year-old singer has desperately been trying to shift media attention away from her weight and onto her new album "Lotus," which will be released on Nov. 13. But her weight continues to dominate headlines. Aguilera's ups and downs have been constant fodder for celebrity weeklies and websites over the last few years. The noise recently reached a crescendo when Billboard magazine published a Sept. 29 cover story, quoting Aguilera saying "I got tired of being a skinny white girl."

"Let me tell you, that wasn't an easy pill for [my label] to swallow," she supposedly told Billboard. "I had gained about 15 pounds during promotion and during my Stripped tour [with Just Timberlake]. They called this serious emergency meeting about how there was a lot of backlash about my weight." Shortly afterwards, Aguilera denied the comments saying they were fabricated.

Curvy women have still viewed the singer as a role model, though. Instead of apologizing for her weight gain, Aguilera has publicly embraced it. At a press conference last January she said: "I've been in this [business] for a long time. I came out on the scene when I was 17-years-old ... You can never been too perfect, too thin, too curvy, voluptuous, this, that. I've been on all sides of the spectrum as far as any female in this business."

"As long as I'm happy in my own skin, that's all I need," she continued. "I'm happy with where I'm at. I have a boyfriend that loves my body. I love my body."

In the last year the buzz about Aguilera's weight gain has become deafening. After filing for divorce from Jordan Bratman in October 2010, she seemed to be on a dangerous downward spiral, which reportedly included excessive drinking. Then she shocked fans a year later falling out of a black corset and fishnet tights at the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert in Wales.
