"Borderlands 2" DLC four is in the works, at least, SOMETHING is in the works based on this teaser video the boys from Gearbox played during their grand PAX East reveal session on Sunday. The "Borderlands 2" DLC four release date is expected by the end of June, and the title may or may not be called "Bunkers and Badasses."

In the teaser, we get to see Tiny Tina, Brick, Mordecai and Maya setting up for a D&D style board game called "Bunkers and Badasses." The teaser revealed that the characters used for the board game are the same class as the Vault Hunters so I don't think it's a Kirstie-Alley-in-Lululemons-sized stretch of logic to assume the DLC could take place outside of Pandora and be a live-action board game world. You bring your Vault Hunter into "Bunkers and Badasses" to participate in a kind of mania so twisted it makes Tiny Tina excited. So, on a scale of lame to epic it's probably got the needle buried in epic+1. Take a look:

The Gearbox panel gave fans more than just a teaser for "Borderlands 2" DLC number four. In fact, it gave fans something we've been agonizing over for a very, very, very long time.

ENTER THE "BORDERLANDS 2" LEVEL CAP INCREASE!!!!

(In the parlance of our times, can I get a "w00t" please?)

Gearbox confirmed that, despite the incredible difficulty of accomplishing a level cap increase, one is coming to "Borderlands 2" fans on April 2 as part of the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade pack ($5, or 400 MSP). The level cap will be raised from 50 to 61, and will be covered for those of you who ordered a season pass. BONUS: for anyone who's beat True Vault Hunter Mode, the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade will unlock an even-harder Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode.

I can't wait for the level cap increase to drop. I've been sitting on some level-50 gunzerker action for months now, not wanting to delve into the numerous side quests on the three DLCs we have so far because, frankly, I didn't want to squander XP that would help me get beyond level 50 once the cap was lifted. "Borderlands 2" remains one of the finest FPS games of the past five years and it is, without a doubt, the BEST co-op experience I've ever had. It's going to be nice to see my fellow capped out Vault Hunters online again on April 2.

In addition to the exciting "Borderlands 2" DLC number four release date news and the CRAZY exciting level cap increase news the Gearbox panel also introduced us to another Vault Hunter that will be coming our way in May. Krieg the Psych Bandit is everything a melee fan would want from a Vault Hunter. As the following gameplay footage shows, Krieg provides some cathartic revenge against those blitzing kamikaze Psychos that love to self-destruct near your Vault Hunter.

Krieg will set you back $9.99 (or 800 MS points) when the update launches sometime in May.

And, as though the news of a new Vault Hunter, the fourth DLC and the long-awaited level cap increase wasn't enough, Gearbox gave fans one more piece of thrilling news during their PAX East reveal-o-thon: new weapon tier. An ultra-rare tier of weapons, Pearlescent, will be added to the game as part of the level cap increase DLC.

Seems like an awful lot of nice stuff for one conference, no? Maybe they feel bad for the sh-tastrophe that was "Aliens: Colonial Marines." Or maybe Gearbox is just doing what they do best: treating their fans with respect and giving them what they want.
