The 2013 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is releasing its lineup today (Feb. 19) through a live stream YouTube announcement hosted by Weird Al Yankovic at 1 p.m. The one-hour BONNAROO LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT MEGATHON, aka B.L.A.M will broadcast information to festival goers who will appear during the incredible four day music event.
Bonnaroo will hold its twelfth annual festival on "the farm" located in Manchester, Tenn., from the 13 through the 16 of June. More than 80,000 campers come to the festival sprawled across 700 acres of Tennessee nature.
The "Bonnaroovian Code" suggests that your Roo experience is closer to "Survivorman than your favorite resort." Festival goers typically camp out for Bonnaroo in the heat of the Tennessee sun to witness the remarkable performances of the event. Talk about dedicated.
The ten iconic stages of Bonnaroo are rocked each year by over 150 "epic" performances from artists such as: Phish, Radiohead, Neil Young, Pearl Jam, The Black Keys, DMB, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bruce Springsteen, Beastie Boys, Bob Dylan and so many more incredible musicians.
Bonnaroo is a festival that prides itself on radiating positivity.
"Bonnaroo isn't just a show. It's a vibe, a spirit, a way. And when you spread the gospel, you multiply the Bonnaroo community and help others slip into the groove. Go forth and recruit other inspiration-seekers who might bring something cool to our amazing little world. You've just been Knighted now go represent, badass."
