The BlackBerry Priv is helping BlackBerry boost its stock prices. According to Zacks Investment Research stocks for BlackBerry are up 25 percent. Analysts close to Zacks predict stock prices for BlackBerry will remain steady. Stocks for BlackBerry starting rising when inventory of the phone begin flying off shelves at retailers across the country. BlackBerry CEO John Chen expressed his optimism for the company and the new BlackBerry Priv on his blog the day the phone was released.

“Congratulations and many thanks to our partners that are making PRIV available today. Based on early feedback, we think customers will be intrigued by PRIV’s powerful productivity features, including the slide-out physical keyboard, 5.4-inch dual-curved screen and full-day battery life; wowed by the elegant, slim design; and reassured by advanced privacy features such as DTEK .” - John Chen said on his blog. 

According to BBC News , BlackBerry reported it had revenue of $548 million during the third quarter of 2015. The revenue reported is 12 percent higher than the same period in 2014. The new BlackBerry Priv phone was released before the end of the third quarter.

John Chen told BBC, he was pleased with progress, as growth in enterprise software gained momentum and revenue rose across its "areas of focus".

"Blackberry has a solid financial foundation, and we are executing well," Chen said. BlackBerry also saw improvement in its software business, BBC reported. The BlackBerry Priv has been in high demand since its Nov. 6 release, which resulted in the phone selling out numerous stores and online. According to CNN Money , the BlackBerry Priv sold out at Walmart and Best Buy . Amazon sold out of the phone before 10 a.m. EST on Wednesday Nov. 11, just a few days after its release, TechTimes reported.

The BlackBerry Priv has a 5.4-inch dual-curved screen. The phone offers decent storage at 32GB. The 3410 mAh battery offers up to 22.5 hours of energy. The battery was among leaked specs. Other specs include a physical slide out keyboard. NDTV reported that the Blackberry Priv runs on Android Lollipop version 5.1.1.
