iPhone 5C, 6 Release Date September 10, 2013? Latest Rumors Suggest Next iPhone Debut May Be Just A Few Weeks Away
Though the publication says nothing of where its source comes from and there is no direct quote, nonetheless, add it to your list of rumored release dates.
Indeed, we've heard many a rumor involve an early to mid-September release date for the next iPhone, be it the long expected budget model or a premium Apple offering, but to date, this has been the earliest.
What Will The Next iPhone To Release Be?
So which model iPhone should we expect to see released on September 10th and what features might it include?
Of course this is all speculation but it's likely we'll be looking at the economy or budget iPhone sometimes referred to as the iPhone Lite or the iPhone 5C (in some cases even the iPhone 6).
Here are a few reasons why:
1) We've seen far more leaks associated with the budget iPhone including back plates, cases, boxes, colors, price rumors and more, including those clues in the recent factory work conditions investigations being conducted by China's Labor Watch at Pegatron, which revealed the budget model was definitely already in production.
"Today's work is to paste protective film on the iPhone's plastic back cover to prevent it from being scratched on assembly lines. This iPhone model with a plastic cover will soon be released on the market by Apple. The task is pretty easy, and I was able to work independently after a five-minute instruction from a veteran employee. It took around a minute to paste protective film on one rear cover. The new cell phone has not yet been put into mass production, so quantity is not as important. This makes our job more slow-paced than in departments that have begun mass production schedules."
2) We know Tim Cook talked about new things to be revealed in the Fall, and if the budget iPhone 5C or 6 releases on September 10, 2013, this would be consistent with other rumors which claimed an early September budget model and a mid to late September iPhone 5S release. The iPhone 5S is rumored to come fully equipped with chip upgrade by Samsung and new security features such as the fingerprint sensor.
We know that whatever the next premium Apple iOS device is, it will likely be paired with the latest Apple firmware, iOS 7. As the company has already released the 5th beta for iOS 7, this points to a late September release of the updated firmware, to pair with the iPhone 5S release, closely followed by a release of the iPad 5.
3) The budget iPhone is said to be based off the iPhone 5 in terms of specs and features with cheaper materials. However, with all the new smartphones which have recently released onto the market, even the budget ones are competing with or beating with the iPhone 5; therefore, a nearby release of the budget iPhone would be ideal to catch a piece of the action there.
Of course, you might say that's what sales prices on older iPhone models are for and, truly, Apple does have a history of dropping the prices on older iPhones by $100 dollars or more when a new model releases, but with Apple's turn of focus on trying to grow the global market, an early September release seems a quite good idea for the economy iPhone model.
What To Expect In The Next iPhone: Economy Model Favorite Feature Rumors
So if the next iPhone to release is the economy model what do we have to look forward to?
Of course the rumors concerning the budget iPhone 5C or Lite model are pretty redundant now. They include features such as a plastic exterior, 5-6 color choices and a body built like a mash-up between old and new with the elongated iPhone 5 body and 3GS rounded corners. In addition, rumors that the retail price will run in the neighborhood of $300 unsubsidized have also been pretty consistent.
Though there's no knowing when Apple will reveal its next iPhone(s) and whether the name will be iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone Lite or iPhone 6, we know Tim Cook promised us something new in the Fall. The hope is, it will be one of the aforementioned iOS smartphones.
