'House Of Cards' Season 3 Release Date: Writing Team Starts Season 3 Of Netflix Hit, Will It Premiere In 2015?
"House of Cards" season 3 release date? Are you really wondering about that already? The season has barely been out for 2 days! Well, I'm not quite finished yet myself - five episodes to go as of press time - but that doesn't mean I can't take a look at the future and see when "House of Cards" season 3 will come to Netflix (hint: it's probably going to be this time next year)
First up, the biggest news of all is, obviously, that the "House of Cards" season 2 premiere finally arrived, giving us - from what I've seen so far - a season that is far and away better than the already solid first season (reviews will, I'm sure, be forthcoming), a season that is significantly different in its tone and yet, in its own way, just as over the top and ridiculous (in a great way).
The official "House of Cards" season 3 announcement only came a few weeks ago, but it came just in time: imagine how stressed out you would be if you had to wonder whether this new batch of 13 episodes was going to end the series forever. Thankfully, it isn't. We're now guaranteed at least one more season, thank goodness. You probably know what will it be about; I don't, yet, although I'm getting closer and closer as I write this.
As for the actual "House of Cards" season 3 release date, we know a few things already. Most prominent is that the "House of Cards" team is actually already working on it. Executive producer and creator Beau Willimon tweeted as much this weekend: they're writing "House of Cards" season 3 already, but have a long, long way to go. Here's the proof:
So, if they've just started working on "House of Cards" season 3, how long before we get it? The good news: it won't be more than a year. The bad news: it won't be less than a year. Considering the last season worked on exactly the same production schedule, shooting on "House of Cards" season 3 will probably start in late April or early May, finish by late October, edit through January, and air in February. I know, I know: that's a really long time away from now. But what are you going to do? At least we're getting more "House of Cards" eventually.
And in the meantime, we have "Mad Men" season 7, "Game of Thrones" season 4, and who knows what else.
