Madden NFL 25 Roster Update: EA Sports Changes Player Ratings Based On Last 3 Weeks Of NFL Games
We have hit the end of the NFL regular season and we are now in the full swing of the playoff run. There are eight teams remaining in the hunt for a World Championship and while the rest of the league are at home fishing or throwing insane house parties during their off-seasons, the team working on Madden NFL 25 are still working to keep the game as current as possible.
The Madden team released the latest roster update for Madden NFL 25 on Thursday with ratings being adjusted from the games that were played during Week 16, Week 17 and the first round of playoff games this past weekend. With the holidays falling during these games, it comes to no surprise that the roster were a bit late in getting out but better late than never, right?
In this update, a receiver from the only team that matters in New York (opinion, sorry) goes up big and the quarterback from the "City of Brotherly Love" continues to move up ratings charts. There were not a ton of major ratings changes as most players are who they are by the end of the season. However many players did see a bump in status due to good play towards the end of the season. Here are some notable players who saw their ratings increase.
Jerrel Jernigan, WR: New York Giants +6 (New Rating 73) Week 17: 6 Catches, 90 Yards, 2 Carries, 57 Yards, 2 Total TD's
Nick Floes, QB: Philadelphia Eagles +3 (New Rating 87) Week 17: 17-26, 263 Yards, 2 TD's; Wild-Card Round: 23-33, 195 Yards, 2 TD's
Geno Smith, QB: New York Jets +3 (New Rating 76) Week 17: 17-27, 190 Yards, 10 Carries, 44 Yards, 1 TD
D.J. Fluker, RT: San Diego Chargers +3 (New Rating 81)
Robert Mathis, ROLB: Indianapolis Colts +3 (New Rating 92) Week 17: 6 Tackles, 2 Sacks; Wild Card Round: 2 Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 Forced Fumble
As usual, there are those who exceed in the NFL and then those who do not do well some weeks. There were players whose ratings dropped during the last three weeks of the season and the list runs the gauntlet of players, from quarterbacks to punters. Here are those who played below their standards during Weeks 16, 17 and the first round of the playoffs.
Adam Podlesh, P: Chicago Bears -4 (New Rating 69) Week 17: 4 Punts, 34.3 Yards Per Punt
Kyle Orton, QB: Dallas Cowboys -2 (New Rating 75) Week 17: 30-46, 358 Yards, 2 TD's, 2 Ints
Travis Bond, LT: Carolina Panthers -4 (New Rating 62)
B.J. Raji, LE: Green Bay Packers -2 (New Rating 81) Week 17: 2 Tackles; Wild Card Round: 2 Tackles
