Here's some of the trailers and sneak peeks for the Walking Dead season 4 available online:
Last week's Walking Dead saw the return of the Governor. Rick and Co. still don't know he's lurking nearby and plotting ... something. Is he the one who has been baiting the fences? The prison is becoming less secure every day and the Governor could capitalize on a chaotic moment at any time. We can tell from the sneak peek and trailer that he has no more goon army (only Shumpert and Martinez) supporting him, but that doesn't make him less dangerous.
We'll also see the ramifications of Carol's abandonment this week. Rick put off telling Daryl the news about Carol but Hershel almost spilled the beans. Daryl knows something bad has happened and when he finds out Carol is alive, and alone, there's no telling what he'll do. He may race off to find her and bring her back, he might attack Rick, who knows?
With the Governor lurking nearby, though, Carol could end up his hands. Daryl might be able to accept rick's judgment and trust that Carol can take care of herself. But if the Governor takes her hostage and parades her in front of the prison making demands (like Michonne's head) I'm not so sure Daryl can continue to embrace the utilitarian philosophy of the greatest good for the greatest number.
Now that the flu is over we're likely to start to get to know a few of the new survivors. We've had a few episodes with big, anonymous body counts but now that the major dangers are on hold we'll likely meet some of the folks who made it through the tough times in the prison and see what toll it has on the survivors. Especially Glenn and Maggie. Their love serves as the second brightest beacon of hope (behind Judith) but Glenn may come out of his near-death experience a changed man.
