Pokémon X And Y News: Mega Venasaur, Mega Charizard And Mega Blastoise Unveiled In Pokémon Direct, Find Out When You'll Get The Gen 1 Starters [VIDEO]
Pokémon X and Y news is certainly heating up today. In Wednesday morning's Pokémon Direct, Nintendo and the Pokémon Company teamed up to deliver us the latest. Today's Pokémon X and Y news include the addition of their new "Bank" service, which serve as a cloud storage option for one's pocket monsters. More importantly, however, may be the announcement of Pokémon X and Y new starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. Not only that, but each of the Pokémon will have their own mega evolutions. We're sure this is to lure older players to Pokémon X Y who have been with the series since the beginning. What we're trying to say is only 90's kids will get this.
The Pokémon Bank feature will be good for those with many pokes across various games -- provided those games are Black & White, Black & White 2 or X & Y. The service will also come with an annual fee, allowing Nintendo to maintain the service, making sure it always works. As for the starters, we've never seen in the past trainers receiving two sets of starter Pokémon.
With the new mega Pokémon unveiled on Nintendo's official site, we can't help but wonder why Mega Charizard isn't at least part dragon. But we can't say we're not grateful for having it as an option. With the announcement of these mega types, Pokémon X and Y news lends credence to the idea that there are a lot more mega forms we don't know about yet. Just so we're clear -- if Mega Scizor, Gyarados and Tyranitar are a thing, we'll be nothing short of ecstatic.
What do you think of the new mega evolutions? Were you expecting to see different Pokémon X and Y news? Let us know in the comments!
