‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Season 6 Spoilers: Comic-Con 2013 Says Show Will End In A ‘Big Pool Of Blood’ [REPORT]
“Sons Of Anarchy” Will End In A ‘Big Pool Of Blood’ Says Kurt Sutter Speaking Of Season 6
"Sons of Anarchy" season 6 premiere dates announced as September 10, in a special 90-minute episode that will pick off from where season 5 left off (spoiler alert), with Clay framed for the murder of Pope and Tara is facing prison. The entire "Sons of Anarchy" cast appeared at Comic-Con 2013, for the most part they tried to refrain from giving spoilers about season 6:
In addition to series creator Kurt Sutter and director Paris Barclay, the entire cast was in attendance, including Charlie Hunnam (Jax Teller), Katey Sagal (Gemma Teller-Morrow), Ron Perlman (Clay Morrow), Maggie Siff (Tara Knowles-Teller), Kim Coates (Tig Trager), Theo Rossi (Juice), Mark Boone Junior (Bobby Munson), Tommy Flanagan (Chibs), and Dayton Callie (Wayne Unser). And even though his character was killed off last season, the crowd went wild at the mention of Ryan Hurst's name. And a piece of my heart died all over again.
We did get to see a promo trailer that was interesting but equally uninformative. It features the main characters in the midst of a slow-motion fistfight, almost looks like a mosh pit:
Here is the official logline for the new season: "Having framed Clay for the murder of Damon Pope, Season Six begins with Jax's leadership uncontested, but his family life suffering from his single-minded pursuit of John Teller's vision. Jax must find a way to keep Tara from going to prison for conspiracy to commit murder while rebuilding his club and breaking from the cycle of violence and greed that ultimately led to his best friend's death."
Kurt Sutter, show creator, spoke about his goals for "Sons of Anarchy" season 6 "My goal is to be able to tell the story I wanted to. I never wanted us to overstay our welcome. At a certain point, the sh*t just has to hit the fan. And for it to stay real and believable, it has to find its endgame." Sutter went on to say that the endgame would be "a pool of blood". Sutter said that while there would be a season 7, that he would be drawing the series to a close, "I think we've really created these characters and narratives that have been very organic to this world and I feel like we're running towards the finish...ultimately it has to find its endgame...I have a sense of what I want the last scene of the show to be. How we're going to get there and what that looks like, I'm not really sure."
So what can we expect in terms of "Sons of Anarchy" season 6 spoilers? Well we can clearly expect the major conflicts to stem from the fact that Clay has been sent away for the murder of Pope. While Jax's leadership is uncontested for the time being one thing we have learned over the course of the series is that there is always a bigger threat. The club has faced challenges form the police, the cartels, white supremacists, the True IRA, rival gangs and MC's, the Feds and even the CIA. It will be interesting to see if SAMCRO will face another rival. Perhaps it will be the cartels again or maybe we might see the club fracture over Jax's desire to save Tara from prison.
If you recall "Sons of Anarchy" season 5, Tara is in prison because of information Gemma gave to the police allowing them to link Tara to conspiracy to commit murder over the nurse that Otto killed using the crucifix she brought him. This kind of backstabbing and betrayal involving Jax, Gemma, Tara and Clay are sure to have consequences for the club and may well result in a character 's death.
At Comic-Con 2013, the "Sons of Anarchy" cast appeared sad or melancholy, almost as if season 6 is the show's last season, though it has been renewed for season 7. Still the show is drawing down, so we can expect to see some of our more beloved characters die. Fans were upset following the death of Opie, who will be next to go? Well we know Bobby is stepping down from his role as club VP due to disagreements with Jax over his leadership. So we might see Bobby die, another possibility is Juice. Juice has betrayed the club in a serious and persistent manner, Jax decided to use it to his advantage to take out Clay, but now Juice has outlived his usefulness. Juice is pretty loyal but Jax can be ruthless when he wants to, so we might see Juice get killed by Jax or another club member.
When it comes to "Sons of Anarchy" season 6 spoilers, one man has been broken for sure. Clay, is pretty much finished as a power player and he is a broken man. Ron Perelman spoke in Comic-Con 2013 about his character's arc and how the season will be about Clay's "redemption", "Season 6 is him knowing that there's no more leveraging. There's no more maneuvering. There's no more choices. There's just this bounty on his head and he's no longer in control of how many minutes he's got left. It's the first time in his life when he's not in the position to have any fight left in him. He's worn out all his choices and he's completely at the mercy of other forces."
We hope Perlman was just joking when he offered the "Sons of Anarchy" season 6 spoilers that it would be about Clay's "redemption". Jax has made the mistake of showing Clay mercy before, only for it to come back and bite him. He won't make the same mistake again, so don't expect Jax to give Clay a last minute reprieve. While the Hamlet-like conflict between Jax and Clay have been the driving force for the show during most of the series, we can expect that to come to a close now with Clay's death. Most fans are actually looking forward to it at this point.
This panel gave us some sense of "Sons of Anarchy" season 6 spoilers, the ongoing conflict in Jax's personal life with Gemma and Tara, dealing with his frozen grief from Opie's death and of course whatever happens with Clay.
Are you looking forward to the "Sons of Anarchy" season 6 premiere based off these spoilers?
