For the first time to the public, the company will unveil an unbreakable and flexible 5- inch plastic OLED panel for mobile devices. The development of the display came at a crucial time when smart devices are being used more than ever and at increased risk for damage from drops, hits, and other accidents.

The LG curved 55-inch OLED TV is an industry leader in OLED technology and offers a glimpse into the future of TV design. Based on the same WRGB OLED technology as the standard set, it is widely adopted as the most effective OLED application for large-sized panels.

The company will also showcase the next generation Oxide TFT displays in two sizes; 5 inches and 7 inches. The next generation TFT technology offers high investment efficiency in producing thin, high transparency and low power consumption display.

The 5-inch Oxide TFT panel will feature 1.0 mm bezel which helps to produce borderless smartphones and makes the device lightweight. The 7-inch panel is equipped with touch function allowing superior touch functionality in thin and lightweight mobile products.

In addition, the company will also showcase a 14-inch Quadruple HD panel for laptops at 2560 X 1440 pixel resolutions, along with the world's first 7-inch Full HD panel for tablets that exceeds 300 pixels per inch (PPI).

The SID Display Week 2013 is being held in Vancouver, Canada from May 19 to May 24, 2013.
