Pokémon X & Y News: New Mewtwo, Mew Form Revealed [VIDEO & ANALYSIS]
Pokémon X & Y news has been abound in recent weeks. This is, of course, due to the ramping up of hype as we draw closer to Nintendo and Game Freak's first polygonal 3D flagship Pokémon games on 3DS, Pokémon X and Y, which were originally announced early this year, on January 8 with a Pokémon X & Y release date slated for October 2013 in the US. Other recent Pokémon news includes the release of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon for 3DS, the announcement of the limited edition Pikachu 3DS XL, and the release of the new Pokémon move, "Pokémon the Movie: Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice," which aired on Cartoon Network in December 2013, and was just released on DVD in the US.
Pokémon X & Y news has been unprecedented in more ways than we can count, with the recent announcement of a new Eevee evolution named Sylveon, whose yet unrevealed Pokémon type hints at a new class of Pokémon altogether. With the newest Pokémon X and Y news from the official website, detailing what appears to be the long awaited third form of original 151 pokemon Mew, and his famously powerful clone, Mewtwo. Though neither Nintendo nor Game Freak has revealed what the exact relationship is between the new Mew / Mewtwo and its predecessors, they haven't been shy in acknowledging that there is some relationship between the three Pokémon.
The Pokémon X & Y news of a new Mewtwo-like Pokémon was revealed by the official Pokémon twitter account on Saturday, April 6, as viewable below:

"The mysteries of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y continue to grow with the unveiling of a Pokémon that is strangely familiar! It looks a lot like the powerful Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, but not quite the same," boasts the official Pokémon X & Y news website, though they haven't explained exactly what the link is. It is clear that Mew, Mewtwo and the new Mewtwo-like creature are related, which is especially obvious between Mewtwo and the new mewtwo-like Pokémon, who share similar bodies and coloration. No name has been given for the new Mewtwo-like Pokémon.
We expect more Pokémon X & Y news on the new Mewtwo-like Pokémon soon, though for now we have the luxury of reveling in some of his fully 3D polygonal combat moves, a first for the flagship Pokémon handheld gaming series, which has traditionally been a 2D sprite-based, overhead, top-down game series. Other recent Pokémon X and Y news includes the release of an official Pokémon X and Y announcement trailer, a Pokémon X & Y Pokédex leak, and the announcement of Pokémon Rumble U, or Pokémon Scramble U in Japan, a follow up to Pokémon Rumble on Wii and Pokémon Rumble Blast on 3DS.
Are you as stoked by the Pokémon X & Y news of a new Metwo-like Pokémon coming with the Pokémon X and Y release dates this October 2013 in the US? The 3DS has yet to receive its own exclusive flagship Pokémon games, and Nintendo and Game Freak's newest 3D venture is shaping up to be a giant leap forward for the series. Some fans will likely detract against 3D, pining for the good old days of pixelated Pokémon, though we hope the new game will make up for its lack of nostalgia value with innovation and stunning graphics. View the Pokémon X & Y announcement trailer below, give us a shout out in the comments on what you're most excited for in the new Pokémon 3DS games, and stay tuned for more up-to-date news on XY.
