StarCraft II: Legacy Of The Void Release Date: Blizzard Hints At Quick Development
StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void release date rumors have already started to fly, and the game's development is comfortably under way. Fresh on the release of the StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm expansion pack, demand for the Protoss expansion and the conclusion of the storyline has never been higher. But when will it come out?
The StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void release date, spoiler alert, is quite some time away. But development has indeed started; Blizzard has already begun scripting missions and level designs for the missions. The campaign will focus on the Protoss, led by Zeratul and Artanis, as they strive to overcome the increasing tribal differences among the Khalai Protoss and unite the Dark Templar and Khalai Protoss together before the final battle with Amon.
The StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void release date will conclude the StarCraft II saga, which began with StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty in 2010. The storyline will focus on the battle against the fallen Xel'Naga, Amon, who secretly engineered the creation of the first Overmind and the overriding directive of the Zerg to assimilate the Protoss. According to hints at the Skygeirr Station campaign levels in Heart of the Swarm, Amon - who died tens of thousands of years ago - now lives again somewhere in the edges of space. He already has many followers, including the Tal'Darim Protoss. But, based on Kerrigan's success in the Zerg campaign, it seems that the fate foretold in the Wings of Liberty mission "In Utter Darkness" will not come to pass. The Zerg will remain firmly under Kerrigan's grasp.
Based on past experience, the StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void release date is probably a year and a half to two years away. In their Reddit AMA, Blizzard expressed hope that they would get the new one out more quickly than Heart of the Swarm. But it is definitely being made on Blizzard time - it's done when it's done. But the full development team is moving over to focus on Legacy of the Void.
The StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void release date will bring a new campaign, but likely won't bring any new additions to multiplayer. If it does, according to Blizzard, they will likely remove existing units for every one they add in order to maintain the balance. So it will primarily be a game for fans of single-player; Blizzard tends to roll out balance updates to everyone, so if you only want multiplayer, don't even worry about Legacy of the Void. You already have StarCraft II. Now you just have to get good at it.
