Black Ops 2 DLC: 'Uprising' Bringing Zombies To Alcatraz, Re-Imagined Firing Range And More [VIDEO]
We still don't have any official word from Activision or Treyarch, on the next batch of downloadable content for Black Ops 2, but a number of new leaks have all but guaranteed the existence of the Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC first leaked by an unidentified Best Buy late last week.
Roughly three months after the Black Ops 2 Revolution DLC hit Xbox Live, several leaked marketing assets have all but guaranteed the arrival of new Black Ops 2 DLC, with the Uprising map pack rumored to debut on April 16. The next Black Ops 2 DLC pack is said to add five new maps (Encore, Magma, Mob of the Dead, Studio and Vertigo) to the game's multiplayer map rotation, but won't feature any new weapons like the Black Ops 2 Revolution DLC.
Following last week's initial reveal of the next Black Ops 2 DLC, new marketing materials for the rumored Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC hit the web on Thursday morning, courtesy of Twitter user Travis Cherry (@tcherry13th). Cherry, who apparently only tweeted three times prior to Thursday's leak, uploaded several photos of a previously unrevealed Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC promotional banner which he was apparently given access to by the marketing firm that employs him.
Call of Duty®: Black Ops II Uprising includes four incredibly diverse Multiplayer Maps: Magma, Encore, Vertigo, and Studio: a reimagined adaptation of the fan-favorite Black Ops multiplayer map Firing Range. Uprising also introduces Mob of the Dead, Treyarch's most terrifying Zombies experience to date. Top Hollywood talent rounds out a cast of four Prohibition-era gangsters that are forced to fend off hordes of the undead while imprisoned on San Francisco's notorious Alcatraz Island. While guard towers and new weapons offer tactical advantages, survival offers an unprecedented new challenge for these four lost souls.
As if all the previous leak weren't enough, Best Buy's web store even a product listing for the latest Black Ops 2 DLC; however, it's devoid of anything other than the expected Uprising price (1200 MS Points)and confirmation of the five maps previously revealed in other Black Ops 2 DLC leaks.
Update: Activision has finally released a trailer for the Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC, and confirmed the April 16 release date revealed last week:
Are you looking forward to the next round of Black Ops 2 DLC? Were you hoping for something else from Uprising? Just happy to have a new Zombie level?
