"American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers: Setting leaked by Dylan McDermott; will Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange and Lily Rabe play witches in the Salem Witch Trials? Read on for more "American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers, setting rumors and premiere air date info.
The "American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers keep rolling in concerning the setting for the next chapter of the popular mini-series but the latest leak from confirmed returning actor Dylan McDermott may have confirmed recent rumors that the "AHS" season 3 premiere air date will bring us back in time to the Salem Witch Trials.
Kathy Bates (along with returning leading ladies Lily Rabe and Jessica Lange) has already been confirmed for "American Horror Story" season 3 and spoilers suggest that the three amazing actors may play a trio of evil witches. Sounds like great TV to us!
The latest "American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers come from E! Online's recent red carpet interview with leading AMH actor Dylan McDermott. When asked whether he agreed that Kathy Bates (who previously scared the pants off us in the movie adaptation of Stephen King's "Misery") will be a perfect addition to the AMH cast.
"She really is. All the witches of Salem...there's plenty of them!" said McDermott, and just like that "American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers spread across the internet at supernatural speeds.
Here's some more "American Horror Story" season 3 setting analysis from E! based on the latest spoilers:
A lot of clues from Ryan Murphy pointed toward the Salem Witch trials as the focus of season three, and it looks like he and Brad Falchuck could definitely be using Bates, Jessica Lange and Lily Rabe to cast spells on the viewers.
A subsequent interview with Lily Rabe (who killed it in AHS season 2 as a possessed nun) didn't yield much in the way of "American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers, but was interesting nonetheless.
"I want to do something different, whatever that means," Rabe said. "And I know that's what will happen, because that is such a part of the project of the show," she tells us. "And Ryan I think was so successful with those of us that he brought back, giving us such incredible things to do. I'm really excited to go back."
These aren't the first "American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers to pop up online suggesting a Salem setting is in the works. In fact, it's possible that Dylan McDermott (who has yet to confirm his return to AMH for round three) was simply referencing the Witch Trial rumors during his brief interview with E! Online.
"American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers concerning a Salem Witch Trials setting first popped up earlier this year in the form of a few fan-made posters (see example above). The speculative art was reportedly inspired by a few small hints offered up by AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy, who first hinted that a big clue for what to expect next season could be found in episode 10 of season 2, "The Name Game."
The episode centered around a newly purchased jukebox which, and when the first song played on the machine was "I Put A Spell On You" by Jay Hawkins the "American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers hit the web with pretty much everyone suspecting the setting will be the Salem Witch Trials.
On the other hand, the biggest argument against these "American Horror Story" season 3 spoilers is the fact that if Salem is the new setting that means the mini-series will take place in Massachusetts for two seasons in a row (albeit in different centuries).
