Mila Kunis as Anastasia Steele of "50 Shades of Grey"? Not anymore. For a while, Internet had been abuzz with rumors that Kunis was a front runner to act as the virginal and naive Ana from E L James' erotic trilogy.

However, the "Friends With Benefit" actress crushed all rumors at a recent press conference, saying she would not be starring in the film adaptation of the book. "Gosh, this 50 Shades Of Grey thing is just not gonna leave is it. No, you will not see me in Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm so sorry."

While Kunis did not reveal why she took her name out of the running, fans of the book are clearly disappointed, though many had pointed out that she was not right for the part. Kunis was considered too old and too sexy to play the role of a plane Jane college graduate. "Is it just us or does she have a bit too much mischief in her eyes to play a believably chaste college grad??" questioned Perez Hilton on his blog.

In the meantime, Kunis' exit has opened the doors for Emma Watson, Alexis Bledel, Krysten Ritter, Ashley Benson and Emmy Rossum, all of who have expressed interest in the role.

However, author James revealed that no casting decision for the movie has yet been made. Attending the Vanity Fair's Academy Awards party in Hollywood Feb 24, James said casting is still a long way as they have not yet finalized on a filmmaker.

"We don't even have a filmmaker... so we are still a long way away from casting," the writer told Page Six. "I have some ideas... but it may not be who people expect," she added.

When it comes to playing the role of BDSM enthusiast Christian Grey, Ian Somerhalder is a strong contender. Other actors who have put their names into the ring include Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal and Chace Crawford.
