Dearly beloved, we are gathered here on this website to honor another celebrity who lost his life in the all too dangerous country of ... Switzerland. We have actor Mickey Rourke, Golden Globe winning actor from "The Wrestler." The man has had his issues with drugs and alcohol. He recovered from his substance abuse only to make the fatal mistake of going snowboarding.

Just 11 days ago, we lost Nicholas Cage, of "Ghost Rider" fame. You know "Ghost Rider," the guy with a flaming head on a motorcycle.

Let's all bow our head ... nope, not falling for it? I hope not.

Global Associated News, the death prank site, has done it again and made Rourke the latest celebrity to experience rigor mortis outside on the slopes. Their breakdown of the event might sound familiar.

"The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt Ski Resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Mickey Rourke lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed."

The 60-year-old "Iron Man" actor, who recently finished filming the "Sin City" sequel "Sin City: A Dame To Die For," is not the first nor will he be the last celebrity to reportly die on the slopes. The site usually uses snowboarding accidents in the Swiss Alps (Cage, Eddie Murphy, Denzel Washington) but has used falling off of a cliff in New Zealand (Tony Danza and Jeff Goldblum) and car crashes (Usher). A car crash seems a lot more realistic than people falling off of a cliff in New Zealand. Although, I could see Tony Danza just hanging out on a random cliff in New Zealand, can't you?

Rourke's agent David Unger told the New York Post that this is just a hoax and that Mickey is still kicking and suplexing.

"Mickey is very touched by the outpouring of concern, and is alive and well in Beverly Hills," Unger told The Post. "I have been getting condolence calls from over the world. But I can confirm that Mickey is very alive."

So we now have Mickey Rourke in our death hoax hall of fame but the discussion begins about who will be next. I see this as an opportunity for a washed-up entertainer to use as a springboard. Some entertainers that come to mind including Jaleel White (TV's Urkel), Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (that's double the news) and my personal dark horse Eddie (the dog from Frasier). Let's not look at these hoaxes as a bad thing. Let's use them as a tool to drive a career upward, promote a movie heck even push a new fragrance. The possibilities are endless.

So Hollywood if you're listening, MORE DEATH HOAXES! It could only help.
