BlackBerry Z10 Release Date: Latest Leak Leaves Many Wondering What RIM Has Left To Announce
Canadian smartphone manufacturer Research in Motion (RIM) just can't seem to plug all its leaks, because new press photos for the BlackBerry Z10 have leaked ahead of the device's public unveiling next week.
Twitter user @evleaks uploaded what they claim to be the official BlackBerry Z10 press photos, less than seven days before the company was scheduled to officially announce the BlackBerry Z10 and Blackberry X10 at a Blackberry 10 event on Jan. 30. The same account also posted photos of what is believed to be a Verizon promotional page advertising the upcoming BlackBerry Z10 release date, though the company didn't actually list a specific day for launch.

The BlackBerry Z10 release date is expected to be among a slew of new device and operating system-related announcements during RIM's BlackBerry 10 event next Wednesday. The company is expected to show off an almost entirely redesigned BlackBerry 10 operating system, complete with a new focus on touch interactions; however, it's unknown at this time whether or not the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry X10 will be the only devices on display next week.
RIM hasn't done a particularly great job of keeping a lid on the BlackBerry Z10 up to this point, with several leaks related to the unannounced phone having preceded its official announcement. While tech spec leaks/rumors/speculation have become a regular part of many electronic devices' release timeline, it's not every day that a major parts supplier releases a video of parts for an unrevealed phone. Unless, of course, you're Apple. Then all bets are off.
RIM seems to be taking the whole thing in stride, possibly even enjoying the added publicity that's followed each Blackberry Z10 leak, though we imagine the company was hoping to have at least one or two tidbits left to unveil on Jan. 30. It's hard to imagine much has been left to speculation when BlackBerry Z10 photos, tech specs, part videos, promotional pages and press photos are all floating around the web prior to the BlackBerry Z10 release date announcement.
Do you think the BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry X10 and BlackBerry 10 operating system will be enough to save RIM from irrelevance?
