'Girls' Season 2 Spoilers: What Will Happen In Episode 2, 'I Get Ideas?' Watch The Trailer Video Here
Last night was the season premiere of HBO's hit show Girls and it wouldn't surprise me if you were as confused as Ray reading Shoshanna's texts.
"A panda next to a gun next to a wrapped gift? It makes no sense." - Ray
So let's recap:
Remember how Adam was hit by a car? Well, it's probably the only thing keeping Hannah tied to him seeing that she's now dating a black guy named Sandy (played by the actor Donald Glover and also is a rapper known as Childish Gambino).
Hannah is also living with her gay ex-boyfriend, Elijah, who is now contemplating the thought of actually being bi. He and Marnie end up having sex due to her vulnerability after losing her job, boyfriend, weight, and her best friend. Marnie also sees her ex-boyfriend, Charlie, at Hannah and Elijah's housewarming party accompanied by his current girlfriend, Audrey.
Marnie and Charlie end up talking outside the bathroom door where Charlie's hippy headband lover girlfriend is.
She says to him, "I actually realized the other day that I could go like 8 months with no sex and I'd be totally fine."
Speaking of sex! Remember how Sosh lost her virginity to Ray? Well, after getting mixed signals from her "ex-lover" she does her best to avoid Ray at the party.
"Like, I may be deflowered, but I am not devalued." - Shoshana
The two end up having a passionate make out session in the coat room from what I saw. I was too busy noticing Ray spilling his beer all over the jackets lying on the bed.
Sosh's cousin Jessa returns home from her honeymoon with her almost stranger-like husband. As she attempted to tell the cab driver the address she bursts out laughing due to her lack of knowledge of where her recent husband actually lives.
All this in thirty minutes can leave someone eyes wide and mouth dropped staring at the TV screen so let's try and figure out what the heck is going to happen in Girls season 2.
First off, Andrew Rannell's who plays Elijah, is leaving Hannah roommate-less. He's the star of the NBC show "The New Normal" which will give him more time to focus on that show. Rannell's will only appear in the first four episodes of season 2.
Rannells said, "Oh my God, yeah. I was completely heartbroken ... I mean, if I could be hanging out with Hannah all the time I would. So yes, I miss them terribly."
So who's dating who in this season?
Well, Sosh will be re-gaining her "lover" Ray's affection and Marnie hits the sheets with Booth Jonathan (remember him from season one?)
"The first time I f*** you, I might scare you a little because I'm a man and I know how to do things" - Booth Jonathon
I'm excited for Jorma Taccone to come back to the show! Are you team Booth or Charlie?
Hannah follows her mantra of doing what she wants, when she wants even if that includes wearing a neon mesh shirt in public.
But the big question is: what will happen to Adam and Hannah? Will they be together? Will his leg heal? Will he EVER turn the lights on in his apartment?!
We don't know. However, we do know that he is undoubtedly in love with the bubbly and witty girl.
"You're the best thing in my life, I don't know how to behave without you, I'd die if you go away." -Adam
Cue the "aw"s!
