The story of Caylee Anthony's death is a sad one as a nationwide search was made after her toddler disappeared in 2008, which case the media to take widespread interest in.

Sadly, the child's body was eventually found where it had been dumped in the woods near outside of the  Anthony home.

At the time of the conviction, Anthony was 36 and convicted of lying to lead detective Yuri Melich , telling him she left her child safely in the care of a nanny named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.

In addition to this lie she also told authorities she was employed at Universal Studios, had told Universal co-workers that Caylee was missing.

Though she was acquitted of all major charges, Anthony was sentenced to four years in prison though it was shortened by good behavior and the sentence will complete on Sunday. Anthony served one year of probation at a secret location.

The hearing will largely impact Casey's upcoming civil trial with Zenaida Gonzalez, who is suing Anthony for defamation. The woman who hails from Kissimmee, shares the same name Casey used  when she lied about the babysitter incident who she claimed kidnapped Caylee. Matt Morgan, Gonzalez's lawyer said the claim ruined his client's life.

"Even now, to this day, people still believe that Zenaida may have had something to do with the disappearance....There's a lot of conspiracy theorists out there."

The Casey Anthony case whose appeal can be seen today in a live stream online is one which the nation has been extremely touched by and has even prompted the creation of two new television specials focused on Casey Anthony and the alleged killing her daughter Caylee Anthony. One of these TV specials is a segment on an investigative series, while the other is a Lifetime Original Movie.

On Monday evening (January 14th), Anthony's case will be featured on an Investigation Discovery series called True Crime With Aphrodite Jones detailing the truth and falsehoods which were present in the Anthony case.

On Saturday (January 19th), the Lifetime Original Movie called Prosecuting Casey Anthony is set to debut and may serve to rile folks further. In the movie, Rob Lowe plays Jeff Ashton, the Florida prosecutor. The movie is based on Ashton's book.

Here are a few facts about the afternoon of Monday, June 16, 2008, the day Caylee died:

  • At 2:49 p.m., after George Anthony said he had left for work and while Casey Anthony's cellphone is pinging a tower nearest the home, the Anthony family's desktop computer is activated by someone using a password-protected account Casey Anthony used;
  • At 2:51 p.m., on a browser primarily Casey Anthony used, a Google search for the term "fool-proof suffocation," misspelling the last word as "suffication";
  • Five seconds later, the user clicks on an article that criticizes pro-suicide websites that include advice on "foolproof" ways to die. "Poison yourself and then follow it up with suffocation" by placing "a plastic bag over the head," the writer quotes others as advising;
  • At 2:52 p.m., the browser records activity on MySpace, a website Casey Anthony used frequently and George Anthony did not.

WPTV will be LIVE STREAMING VIDEO of the hearing when it begins around 1:30 p.m.
