December 21, 2012 is just weeks away, and as the Apocalypse predicted by both Ancient Mayans and Christian prophets draws closer, one explanation for how the world will end is gaining traction: "Gangnam Style" is the soundtrack of the end of days and PSY is the devil in human form.

We recommend hitting play on the "Gangnam Style" video and the reading on about how it will bring about the Apocalypse for the full experience.

The theory for how "Gangnam Style" is tied directly to the coming Apocalypse comes from Nostradamus, the French prophet who predicted everything from the September 11 terrorist attacks to Hitler to Hurricane Katrina.

Here's the alleged Nostradamus quote that has people connecting the dots between the 2012 Apocalypse and Gangnam Style:

From the calm morning, the end will come when of the dancing horse the number of circles will be nine. - Nostradamus, 1503

Seems harmless enough, right? Wrong. First off, Korea means "calm morning" country in English. Combine that with the fact that PSY's "Gangnam Style" went viral thanks to his horseback-inspired dance moves and it becomes clear that this prophecy is describing the KPop sensation. So what about these nine circles? Well, if you recall, "Gangnam Style" recently beat out Justin Bieber's "Baby" to become the most watched video on YouTube, and currently has over 870 millions views. The number 1 billion has nine zeros (circles) in it, and it's not too crazy to think that "Gangnam Style" could get a billion hits by December 21, 2012.

So I guess what we're trying is say is, get ready to listen to the official "Armageddon Style" remix for all eternity as we all burn forever under Lord PSY's rule in KPop hell. Except for one small issue: that Apocalypse-predicting Nostradamus quote is 100 percent fake. Even the smallest bit of internet research reveals that not only did Nostradamus never utter or write down those words, but he is actually believed to have been born in 1503, making it pretty unlikely that he was already speaking in full sentences, let alone predicting the end of the world, as a baby.

Don't despair though "Armageddon Style" fanboys! We've dug through Nostradamus's collection of prophecies and found one that proves the French seer really did predict PSY's "Gangnam Style" would both sweep and destroy the world:

The great queen, upon seeing herself vanquished,
Will exibit an excess of masculine courage;
On horseback she will ride totally unprotected,
Pursued by swordsmen; an act of outrage!

Now bear with us here just one more time. The first leap you'll have to make is that the "great queen" is Justin Bieber. As we already explained, Bieber has been vanquished by PSY when it comes to YouTube hits. If Bieber is looking for revenge his best bet may be to spoof "Gangnam Style," with a video of his own in which he does to "horseback" dance. If he does then game over world, thanks for playing.

What do you think? Is "Gangnam Style" actually the song of the Apocalypse? Read more about Apocalypse predictions here.
