Angus T. Jones may want to quit "Two and a Half Men," but he will not be fired.

This news comes courtesy of a report in the Daily Mail. The website spoke to a source close to Warner Brothers, who produces the hit CBS sitcom. The source said that there are "no plans" for Angus T. Jones to leave the show that he has been on for 10 seasons.

"He has always been professional on set and we have a duty of care to Angus and to find out what is going on with him," the source said. "I feel for the kid - this is a good kid."

By pure coincidence, Jones will be absent from the next two episodes of "Two and a Half Men," as his character, Jake Harper, was not written into the script. However, he will return for episodes later in the season.

"The show is in its 10th season, and the character of Jake Harper has not been as prominent in the show as in prior years," the source said.

Indeed, Angus T. Jones spoke with E! Online last month about  his declining role on "Two and a Half Men," However, nowhere in there did he mention wanting to quit the series.

"My character does Skype calls," Jones said in October. "He only does one scene Skype calls and like that's one reason it was awesome having Miley [Cyrus] on the show, because they actually brought my character out of the computer and into the actual set again."

However, Angus T. Jones did tell Voice of Prophecy last month that he considered quitting "Two and a Half Men" but that God "pushed [him] into" staying.

Angus T. Jones made headlines earlier this week by implying he wanted to quit the show. He told the Forerunner Chronciles, a religious organization, that the show was "filth" and that fans should not watch it.

"Jake from 'Two and a Half Men'  means nothing," Jones said in the video. "He is [a] non-existent character." 'Two and a Half Men' - if you watch 'Two and a Half Men' please stop watching 'Two and a Half Men.'  "I'm on ''Two and a Half Men,' and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth. Please."

As we noted previously on idigitaltimes.com, Angus T. Jones is not the first actor to try to quit and/or be fired from a hit series. Katherine Heigl spoke out against "Grey's Anatomy" before leaving that series, while Chloe Sevigny famously called season four of her series, "Big Love,"  "far-fetched." And we cannot forget Charlie Sheen's infamous meltdown from just last year.

While Angus T. Jones may not be getting fired from "Two and a Half Men" any time soon, we also have some suggestions for CBS should the actor decide to quit the series. Perhaps Christopher Mintz-Plasse (aka "McLovin from the movie "Superbad") or that kid from "ParaNorman" can take over as Alan Harper's son on "Two and a Half Men."
