The Texas sex offender executed on Wednesday for rape, murder and robbery was the 14^th Texas inmate put to death this year. The Texas sex offender executed, Ramon Torres Hernandez, was convicted alongside two others 11 years ago of raping, murdering and robbing Rosa Maria Rosando.

The Texas sex offender executed was on parole at the time of his arrest for the murder of Rosa Maria Rosando, and was also suspected of killing three teenagers and a12-year-old girl, according to KWTX.

Before he was executed Ramon Torres Hernandez was asked by the warden if he had any last words.

"Sorry for putting you through all this," the Texas sex offender executed said, according to Fox News. "Tell everybody I love them. I'm very sorry for all the pain."

The Texas man executed was then given a fatal dose of pentobarbital, and was declared dead at 6:38 p.m.

The Texas sex offender executed is the 14^th inmate executed this year, and the state isn't stopping there. Preston Hughes III is scheduled for execution on Thursday for his role in the murder of two people Houston in 1988.
