Make another place at the honorary table because the 2012 Election Gaffes Hall of Fame is just about to induct its newest member - the beautiful but bumbling Attorney General Kamala Harris.

As Kamala Harris, a guest speaker at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), made her way across the wide wooden stage, I doubt she was thinking, "Tonight I am going to make a fool of myself and Mitt Romney at the same time."

No, indeed, though Harris undoubtedly hoped to leave a lasting impression on those watching her speak at the 2012 DNC, my guess is, the impact she hoped for and the one which surfaced were not the same. Instead of rallying Democrats to Obama's side, Harris produced a Freudian slip that is sure to earn its spot right next to Clint Eastwood's "Invisible Obama", as one of the top memes of the 2012 election year. When Harris first hit the stage, donning an after-Labor Day white suit and pearls, the crowd went wild. Meanwhile, Tweeters got warmed up, making small talk and commentary about her choice of attire.

In the words of @observantturtle, "I like that Kamala Harris is wearing stark white after Labor Day at a national convention. She's just like EFF YOU ALL."

While prim and proper @emilylhauser says, "Dear Democrats: Kamala Harris is not wearing white. That is ecru. Possibly eggshell. You can all breathe now".

Kamala Harris "Misses" Romney

As Harris launched her speech, it moved along with robotic-like fits and starts, pausing in some bizarre and unnatural places, making it clear the old girl was feeling a bit out of her element. I was not the only one picking up of her uncomfortable struggle to make it through this monumental public speech as soon comments regarding Harris' delivery began to surface on Twitter.

"Maybe just me, but not particularly impressed with Kamala Harris' speech. Rising star, yes, but not best delivery 2nite." said @decollins1969

Or, as @RadicalThought put it, "No need to lie, this Kamala Harris speech is a snoozer. Zzz.... lol

While disappointed @TheFix adds "That speech by Kamala Harris felt like a missed opportunity for her. Swing and a miss".

Still, others found alternative qualities to enjoy while bearing their way through Kamala's forced and struggling speech.

As attractive as the attorney general may be, or as painful as delivering her speech seemed, the main thing most folks will remember about the evening, however, was the split-second Fruedian slip Harris made half-way through the speech. While talking about Romney's policies, the Attorney General unintentionally called Mitt Romney, "Miss Romney". Just after the slip, Twitter became flooded with tweets concerning the "Miss Romney" slip-up and before long a #MissRomney hashtag began to trend.
