Nuketown Zombie Map Included In Call Of Duty:Black Ops 2 Deluxe Editions
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Deluxe Editions were announced today, and zombie-loving players will not be disappointed. All three versions of the deluxe edition include the downloadable Nuketown Zombies map. The map is exactly what it sounds like. Lots of zombies all over Nuketown. Fortunately, you have lots of bullets (a.k.a. problem solvers). You'd think gamers would be tired of all the zombie stuff by now. I'm waiting for Kingdom Hearts: Zombies or Angry Birds: Undead Edition any day now. But, gamers being what they are, the zombie thing will probably never die (pun intended). Fortunately, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Deluxe Editions feature more than just zombies. Here's a breakdown of what each package has to offer:
The Care Package
This package is the BFG of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 packages with a pricetag to match. The $179.99 package includes a copy of the game (obviously) as well as the Nuketown 2025 and Nuketown Zombies maps. But the coolest item in the whole package has to be the remote-controlled MQ-27 Dragonfire Drone, a quad-propeller RC helicopter with a slick camo finish that might actually get players to go out into the sunlight for a change. It also comes with a collectible 2-sided SteelBook, a limited edition game case covered in exclusive artwork. Fans also receive two challenge coins used to unlock digital content and two player background cards for the killcam, a camo weapon skin for multiplayer games a digital copy of the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 score including a theme composed by Trent Reznor. Xbox owners receive the CLAW prop for their Xbox LIVE avatars and a zombie costume (for the avatar, not for you.) PS3 versions include a dynamic multiplayer theme of the Turbine map as well as a dynamic Zombies theme that shows off Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies. And the whole she-bang comes in a big, black footlocker-type chest.
The Hardened Edition
This is the more affordable of the two console versions of the Deluxe Editions retailing for a mere $79.99. It comes in a nifty black case, so players don't get left out of the "cool packaging" crew. The game, and both Nuketown maps, are included. So are the multiplayer weapon camo, the player card backgrounds, the soundtrack and the challenge coins. The Xbox LIVE Avatar CLAW prop and zombie costume are available for Xbox users, and the Turbine and Zombies dynamic themes are included for PS3 users. Basically, it's the same bundle as the Care Package minus the bad-ass remote controlled helicopter and cool footlocker package.
Digital Deluxe Edition
The PC version of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Deluxe Edition includes the game, the Nuketown maps, the weapon camo, player card backgrounds and soundtrack included in the console packages. PC users get an exclusive Call of Duty Collector's Editions: World at War Game Download Token, a digital download of Treyarch's classic title, traversing WWII storylines from the Pacific to European theaters of war. The Digital Deluxe Edition also retails for $79.99
Ultimately, the pre-order goodies included in the Deluxe Editions are just icing on the cake. So long as that cake tastes like the other cakes in the Call of Duty franchise, with all the compelling FPS action and addictive multiplayer content, then fans will feel they get their money's worth. And Activision will get their billions worth from the fans by giving them exactly what they want.
Which is more zombies, apparently.
