Season 4 of "Arrested Development" has been highly anticipated amongst fans, but, has been riddled with leaks and rumors from both the cast members and enthusiastic fans.
After many years of waiting, there has been some significant development for "Arrested Development." First, it was reported that not only all of the major cast members were signed on for the upcoming season, but then Ron Howard and Jason Bateman started tweeting out pictures of the script and the set itself. Not just one or two tweets, too, but quite a few of them. Not only do we know that the first episode is Michael-centric (it's called 'Michael'), but we also know that many members from the Comedy Central hit, "Workaholics," will be featured in the first episode as well, as airport employees. In the following weeks, it was reported that supporting cast members, including Liza Minnelli and Henry Winkler would be featured in season 4 as well. In addition, John Slattery, who's famous for playing Roger Sterling on the critically acclaimed 'Mad Men,' is rumored to be having a multi-episode arc on the show as well, though his character hasn't been revealed.
Now, it's been reported that Ben Schwartz, famous for guest-starring on NBC's hit show, "Parks and Recreation," and is on the surprisingly good Showtime series, "House of Lies," with Don Chedele and Kristen Bell. Schwartz has also won an Emmy for "Outstanding Writing For A Variety, Music Or Comedy Special for coauthoring Hugh Jackman's opening number for the 81st Academy Awards." Schwartz first got his start on CollegeHumor, guest starring on the long-running YouTube hit, "Jake and Amir," as various, bizarre, characters. Now that Schwartz has become successful on both network and cable TV shows, it seems like his next stop is the cult hit, "Arrested Development."
Also, according to a Redditor and other news outlets, the "Arrested Development" crew has been filming in various locations with the stair car. However, according to various sources, it seems like that logo on the stair car has changed, and will change throughout the season. From this image here, its obvious that the stair car we have come to know for three season remains the same. However, according to Crushable, it seems like Lucielle Austero, played by Liza Minnelli, owns the Bluth company at one point of season 4. Whether it's the beginning, middle, or end, is up for debate though.
Obviously, we're saving the biggest news for the end. According to ScreenCrush, there will be a death this season, from what is looks like. ScreenCrush got their hands on a photo of Buster, dressed like a young JFK JR. at his father's funeral, which signifies that someone will die this season. The question is, who will it be, Oscar or George Bluth? We'll have to wait and see when Netflix releases season 4 of "Arrested Development" later this year.
