As if the drama unfolding in episode 10 of "American Horror Story" wasn't enough of a reason to watch...co-creator Ryan Murphy just revealed that a clue for season three will be hidden in the new episode, "The Name Game!"
Last year Murphy teased fans about season two by slipping a clue into episode 11 of the L.A. Murder House. Titled, "Birth," the episode featured Sarah Paulson as Billie Dean, a psychic. During the episode Billie Dean talked about "evil energy" that generated in places...like prisons and asylums. As fans discovered a couple months later, the second season was titled, "American Horror Story: Asylum."
"It's not done like it was last year," Murphy explained to Entertainment Weekly of the upcoming clue. "It's a different kind of clue. You really have to be quick and watch. I made sure to put it in there for the fans because I know people loved that last year, figuring it out."
"The Name Game," airing on FX on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 10 p.m., is set to be packed with drama. The Monsignor will be confronting the devil; Dr. Arden's experiments will reach a "shocking conclusion;" and Dr. Thredson will put together a surprising reunion for Kit.
Murphy tweeted earlier today: "New American Horror Story tonight! Two characters won't be making it out alive. Guesses?"
Season three of the hit FX mini-series was confirmed in November. The new season is slated to premiere in the fall of 2013 and will reportedly star season one and two vet Jessica Lange.
"We can't wait to see what deviously brilliant ideas they come up with for their third miniseries," FX president John Landgraf said of creators Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
